I think this is an excellent desicion tbh. You all can clamor for f2p.... im not gonna flip flop and act like f2p is mandatory for PvP games. I'm so tired of that nickel and diming shit.

I expected this would be 70 simply cause it's Bungie, would not mind but still consideration..

It's an interesting time in gaming.

I don't know if 40 dollars is a sign of confidence or lack there of.

Final Shape was 50 dollars but it had a built in fanbase via a F2P.

The beta for Marathon is going to have to kill in order for this to be successful at 40 and they must know that.

With this games setting it better have a great soundtrack sounds daft but I honestly think it's success depends on the quality of the music.

I don't trust the source but Arc Raiders (Extraction Shooter from Embark) just announced a $40 price as well.

I don't care either way. I just want it to be good.

Figured it would be $70 and digital only.

So, $40 and digital only.

Personally I am all in for Sony's Multiplayer approach for paying up front and knowing I won't be nickled and dimed down the road.

I looked at Valorant's MTX I saw them selling some points package for $35 that's fuckin crazy and people have just accepted this bullshit

But have the nerve to have an issue with buying a full Multiplayer game for $40.

Then we wonder why Gaming CEO's treat gaming as a Casino

F2P being the key to success is a fallacy. Helldivers and Palworld both some thru 10 million at $40.

There's enough GaaS out there. Unlike single player that people finish and buy the next game, GaaS games never end. Thus, every GaaS released already ate a huge chunk of the that gaming market.
