If you want a Concord campaign without the characters for modern audiences, then what you really want is Guardians of the Galaxy (or its sequel in case you haven't played it already).

The combat was meh and some enemy design did suck, but it was a good game.

The woke DEI designs aren't "for modern audiences", nobody likes these ugly, dull, unappealing, androginous and uncharismatic type characters. They are for the agenda of the western economical elite.

There surely are people who like that, but they don't buy/play games.

$40 won't make any difference if the game is good and the characters are appealing.

We know all the access media has been doing their mental gymnastics around Concord with theories about a saturated market, $40 being too much etc. but at this point all the executives and developers know what propelled the game to the bottom. The child has already yelled about the emperor's lack of clothes.

I think you meant Firewalk? Firesprite is the smaller studio that did Horizon for PSVR2.
Firesprite is actually a bigger studio. They were 250+ people in 2021

Instead of making the game for the people normally interested in this type of games, they made the game they thought the people they want to have as customers would like.

But guess what: young, female, LGTB, non-white people don't like ugly, uncharismatic, androgious, fat etc. characters. And that group anyways is a tiny portion of the people interested on that subgenre. So even if the characters would be cool and appealing to them maybe the audience wouldn't be big enough to sustain the game.

It was a big mistake to reject the -by large, over 80-90%- main demographic group of that subgenere and don't target it too and as primary targer user.
