That's awful for Xbox. Big drop when it was already low. It explains the $350 fire sale all December.

Of course the Xbox sales are bad but if we focus on the PS5 sales, to get to the figures they need to hit, they will need to be more aggressive. The targets are ambitious this year.

Does this include Black Friday, I see someone said it doesn't above..???

Afaik Sony didn’t put any major discounts on PS5 in the US compared to other places

At this point I don't see how they're gonna meet their target without an explosive December and some price promotions in January - March

PlayStation 5 was the best-selling hardware platform in both unit and dollar sales during November 2023 in the US

I think 1m in November is pretty good tbh. Could be higher, but it is still almost double Xbox.

It’s ok/good but it’s getting to that point in a generation of a permenant price drop.

Pro is coming out soon as well which makes even more sense for it

Xbox being outsold 2:1 in America seems like a lights out scenario to me. Playstation really didnt have strong discounts other than that target 350 sale for a day. Most ps5 deals have been 499 bundled with a game. Bundles may be a good deal but i think consumers would prefer a 399 price and buy the software that they want.

I'm pretty sure internally Sony is up YoY because of Portal and PSVR2, neither of those existed in November 2022.

Xbox One was around 1m November 2016. Xbox Series is below 600K.
I really wonder where they go from this gen. Will they even hit 50m? They have massive amounts of talent and IP but don't have the audience to take advantage of that.
