After reading the article, it's full of really puzzling and inaccurate statements, such as;

"PS5 is losing momentum"

We only have initial numbers and there is a PC release ahead.... it feels like they are trying to force this narrative for FF.

Maybe they want to force FF back onto Nintendo platforms? Maybe that is the goal of Japanese reporters like this one...

It seems to be quite dishonest anyway.

Seemingly a lot of people in the media have a serious bone to pick with anything PlayStation-related this gen. Not to mention I'm pretty sure the only reason this thread was even made was to troll the forum for bashing Starfield "too much".

Hmm, I wonder why that could be... surely it can't anything to do with one of the biggest companies on the planet, with some of the deepest pockets, being directly in competition with PS. There's no way another company would buy off the media, right? Right?

They should seriously consider some post launch content if they wanna push this game for the next 16 months.

But Sony and SE still have a few options to pad the sales. Strategic price cuts, bundles should be a thing next month and December for this game.

While I do have some issues with it, it's still a fantastic game but something is just off with Playstation's marketing, it's not hitting like pre - 2021. I found the marketing for this game to be trash, personally.

Totally agree. I want to see them do soft bundles the same way they did with the The Last Of Us the entire PS4 generation. But it seems they are going the Nintendo route where they are focusing on their first party stuff for bundles now.

But for a franchise they claim to consider one of their crowned jewel, they should have went a little bit harder for it. Though these bundles won't factor into the US monthly charts, it will look good on SE financial sheets.

But it seems both parties are gearing up for FF7.

I think they don't need to do anything. The game is selling very well, better than usual for a Final Fantasy game considering the available PS5 installbase.

when you as a company keep cash grabbing a franchise, making subpar games the only thing that you are making is damage to the brand.

These charts are not representative of the worldwide sales of a game at all. They only cover some countries, only show a few games per country and most of these charts don't include digital sales. which represent most of the PS5 sales.

To think that a game isn't selling because it doesn't appear in some sales ranking is stupid.

They need to do something to extend tail sales...

It's stupid to think that a game bombed because it has a discount. Many games have a discount at launch.
