Financial Times Claims CMA Will Approve Microsoft-Activision Deal

The Financial Times doesn't have any insider to back up their claim, but admittedly, it is also what most observers think.
The Financial Times has reported on the Microsoft-Activision deal in a start of the week roundup article. They claim that the CMA is likely to approve the deal this week.
Microsoft may soon have one less hurdle to face in its attempts to acquire publishing giant Activision Blizzard, with a new report indicating that the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, or CMA, is set to announce its support for the deal this week.
The weight of the FTC? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. The FTC is a puppet. They have as much weight as as PixelOpus in Sony's PlayStation Studios.Yeah watch and see how much weight the CMA and FTC hold. A thousand underlings can approve it but it means nada at this point
Way more than that. This deal will go though. 90%. The CAT will take care of the CMA. And the CMA will bend the knee.Looks like this deal is a 50/50 now of getting passed. Remember people it ain't over till its officially over so don't count MS out yet. If i were Sony i would start increasing the amount of money for acquisitions and start looking to buy pubs now.
Xbox fanboys are hyped up today. Didn't even read his own source and is getting devs mixed up.Read your own shit
Read your own shit
He couldn't even be bothered to read up on which dev it even was, lmao.LOL, he thinks the Deviation game is cancelled.... these people really live in an imaginary world where they make up half of what happens.
Really delusional.
Your tears will be glorious. The weight of the FTC? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. The FTC is a puppet. They have as much weight as as PixelOpus in Sony's PlayStation Studios.
Way more than that. This deal will go though. 90%. The CAT will take care of the CMA. And the CMA will bend the knee.
The only thing that the CMA did is giving Sony fanboys false hope. And when all is said and done and Microsoft owns Activision-Blizzard, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, etc. and when Microsoft is on its way to look for another publisher like Capcom and/or Sega.... people here will downplay it and say "Well.... uhh...Call of Duty doesn't matter anyway. I know it's the best selling game almost every year, a juggernaut, the reason why many people buy consoles, the reason why Jim Ryan was crying for over a year, the main creason why Sony makes money on PSN and why they can fund games for SIE PS Studios..... but... Concrete Genie will save us."
Meanwhile Sony has canceled the game they made in collaboration with Deviation Games (ex Call of Duty devs). The game many people here thought might rival Call of Duty.
As you can see, it's not easy to make a Call of Duty competitor. EA learned this with Battlefield. Sony learned this with Deviation Games.
Only one high-end console will survive. The other one will always be last place. So far Sony was leading the high-end market. Xbox kept surviving because Microsoft has unlimited money. All this will change when Xbox owns Call of Duty and all the other publishers.
Sony can't survive when they switch places with Xbox. Sony Group can't do the same for SIE what MS did for Xbox.
And so, when next gen starts, it will be Xbox and Nintendo in the console market. While Sony will become a 3rd party publisher, developing games for Xbox, Nintendo and PC.
@TubzGaming can we have this added to the OP?Going trought the sources rabbit hole here is where you end up:
Exclusive: Microsoft set to win EU nod on Activision with licensing offer, sources say
Microsoft Corp is expected to secure EU antitrust approval for its $69 billion acquisition of Activision with its offer of licensing deals to rivals, three people familiar with the matter said, helping it to clear a major hurdle.www.reuters.com
Something extremely weak from 2 months ago. Absolutely nothing new or major here.
At one point Sources said Microsoft deal would be approved with minor pushback.Sources claimed the CMA deal will be approved too.
Even worse is Microsoft thought it was going through without concessions over a year ago. Something probably their expensive lawyers told them.At one point Sources said Microsoft deal would be approved with minor pushback.
OP updated@TubzGaming can we have this added to the OP?
I thought this was over?
Well if you take in mind that nVidia give you on ARM just because 1 regulator didn't approve it...I thought this was over?
Yeah. Regardless of EU decision without UK there is no deal.I thought this was over?
After all the CMA blocked it, and let's not forget that the FTC met with CMA a day before or on the day of the blocked deal released memo being released by the CMA.Pre news propaganda directed by Microsoft and team. The EU will block it for sure. They won't make themselves look stupid
