Their selling the consoles at a loss too. They for damn sure care about them. What's interesting to me is if hardware DIDNT matter, like many xbots claim, why do they have such a big issue with Xbox opening up their platform and going full third party? It would honestly solidify some type of success for them before they run Bethesda, ABK IP and content to the dirt alongside Xbox. It's their best bet and the fans don't want to accept that yet. You can't just hype up first party games, beg for Xbox exclusives and then claim the Xbox doesn't need to perform. make it make sense to me. AAA games cost hundreds of millions now, they need to find an audience or this whole operation is an ego driven money sink.

There was an outright data leak of PS5 & Xbox Series sales for June - November (and IIRC, December) NPD 2022. So people are using those numbers and weighing the new percentages against them.

For ROTW (non-US), a lot of markets actually still put out numbers directly so percentages are being weighed against them.

My, maybe controversial, opinion is: if Xbox really wanted to sell 100+ Million hardware pieces, they could. Would they need to be much more aggressive with content exclusivity to achieve that? They would. Would they likely need to change course on day-and-date PC versions on everything? They would. Would they need to start building better brand recognition for their own huge IPs such as CoD, Minecraft, Fallout etc.? They would.

They do have all the content now that would allow them to do that. But that's not relevant. It's simply that their current strategy is not compatible with that idea. It's simply that they don't want that.

The delusion is out of this world. If they could sell 100m units, why haven't they? Apparently they simply just don't want to enough
