It's funny, I don't think the characters even look like "white people." They certainly don't look like any white people I've ever known, but instead look like cartoon anime characters. Which of course makes me think of the country of Japan and the people there. I know the guy in charge is saying they are trying to make it look like a historical European setting but the characters just don't look like "real people" to me so .... it all seems like a wash.
Also, was it Resident Evil 5 that took place in Africa and was deemed offiensive because the zombie enemies were African? So we need up getting Hispanic and Asian zombies in these African villages? lol
You are literally damned if you do and damned if you don't with these people. You can find "racism" in anything if you want to. The idea that every piece of media has to have a cross section of the global populace (unless you focus on non-white people, then it's ok to be 100% whatever) is so completely insane I don't even know what the end game is with all this stuff.
The problem for RE 5 wasn't that the enemies were black as much as that the hero was a white man killing black people, because black zombie lives matter, apparently, and Chris should have employed more culturally sensitive policing techniques to their peaceful protests.

It’s factual and logical that:
- It’s a fantasy game
- The game has monsters and is not real
- If a game has a fire bird and a fire dog, it can have a black character
- The creators are free to do whatever they want
- I’m not criticizing the game for not having diverse characters because I, and no one else, actually cares about this.
- The excuse they’re using is lame, they could’ve done it if they wanted to, but they didn’t want to and that’s completely fine. They’re free to do whatever they want, it’s their call and nobody should force anything onto them.
