at this point, I can't imagine being a Square-Enix fan and not owning a Switch. Masterpieces like Live a Live, Triangle Strategy, Bravely Default, and Octopath traveler really show where S-E's true talents lay.
Hopefully with shedding the shitty deadweight western games division, bloated open-world checklist design games like Forspoken become a thing of the past.

Forspoken was made by the FFXV team, lol. And they don't own the LiS team, Don't Nod, they just publish for them.
Yeah, I know, but there's no doubt Forspoken has some cross-pollination of western talent, and a Western design ethos.
Point is, SE is better off making pixel art JRPGs that cost nothing to make, VS a bloated production like this.
As for LiS, well whatever they have to do to distance themselves from that series should be of utmost priority in 2023.
Too late, the LiS team is already making their next game for Focus Entertainment. No big loss, I'm not a indie walking sim fan either.

Warriors are using fake images to shit on Forspoken. The full artillery is out for this game as if it was from Sony. 7/10 is not even that bad.

And there were these cropped super compressed screenshots before too fabricated by haters. People been shutting on this game for months. I realise it’s not some great game but you would think it’s ride to hell retribution.
So I watched the first 2 hours of the game. The dialogue doesn't seem very cringe outside of the one line we saw from the trailer which became a meme. The criticisms seem way overblown.

the dialogue seems to be the least of the problems and I’m fine with that tbh
LiS is very successful and makes them a ton of money. It’s also a beloved series. Stop being butthurt about stuff you don’t like and simply don’t play the games.
There are some agenda behind the hate that goes beyond simply console warring and that’s pretty much clear, anyone with two eyes can see it. The game is average but it doesn’t warrant the kind of hate it’s getting.
