Trying to crap out western-style games almost killed the Japanese games industry during the PS3/360 era. Hopefully they have finally learned.
Doesn't look like the game has seen any improvements in performance across the modes from the demo.
So Quality or RT mode?
Performance mode is out of the question. Too blurry.
John says there is little difference between Quality and RT modes.... so wtf are there 2 modes?! Couldn't they combine it into 1 better mode?! Why do we need 6 modes. two 60 and two 120hz modes would be more than enough.
John says RT mode is his own choice but he also says Quality mode is a bit higher resolution and has better LOD. SO I am not sure

I guess wait for patch(es) so they can hopefully bring the 40hz mode closer to the 40hz target. None of the modes provide an optimal way to play at the moment for their respective targets.
It's square enix. They ain't patching shit lol.
It's ride or die. I've bought the game physically so I can always sell it if it's impossible to ejnoy.
If I had digital version, I would consider refund and getting a pc version but it's probably even a bigger mess.
I will try 120hz quality like in the demo. RT shadows seem to have lesser impact than better lod+res of quality mode.
Let me know what you choose, please. I probably won't be able to play it tomorrow.
If the main protag was the usual anime airhead or those FFX-2 bimbos the dialogue wouldn't be so bad and the meta would be higher.

Thank you Square Enix. Providing me with a playable demo on PlayStation 5 a month ago allowed me to easily pass on Forspoken which just saved me $70. And people say that Square Enix doesn't care about us Xbox gamers. lol
this game has looked bloody awful from the get go. I don't know how this thing got greenlit to begin with.
I remember seeing these a while back, like way before forspoken. I don't remember which game they're from though.
