Great news regarding Helldivers 2, great news. Well deserved, I'm very happy for Arrowhead.

Chris said that it was 60:40 at some point in favour of pc, so it got reduced by %4 as the month went on in favour ps5.

The CEO said at some point that (globally, not EU) were around 50:50.

Helldivers 2 selling 56% of copies on PC in Europe, a Sony stronghold and some here are saying PC gaming is dying.

I don't have EU numbers, but worldwide the PC market is bigger than the PlayStation market. Almost the same size (depends on the year and the analyst firm) than the entire home + portable console market.

PS5 only down 2 percent when demand was still being satisfied and having the marketing right for Harry Potter is a great hold. FF7R doing about the same or slightly better than 16 is somewhat of relief as well seeing as how the conversation around it was it bombed. Xbox's only viable market is the US and its dire there as well.

The west will carry FF.

You already know certain types are going to use this as ammo to say Sony should do Day 1 for all their games going forward, when the simper fact is there are probably at least 3x as many PCs in Europe as there are PS5s.

And if Sony wants to meaningfully grow their install base in places like Europe, Day 1 on PC would be completely counterintuitive towards achieving that, at least for all titles and certainly non-GAAS releases.

on pc you still have to choose between graphics and performance lol, even on 4090 you have to choose since DLSS isn't perfect and isn't in every game. Also for example try turning on overdrive pathtracing in cyberpunk, you're not getting a good framerate without DLSS and frame gen
