Seeing people on twitter argue that Sony should do day and date with PC for all of their releases because of something like Helldivers. Just sounds like PC diehards wanting everyone to sacrifice their platform just to feed theirs.

Sony should 100 percent do day and date once xbox gets rid of their consoles. If they do that, The Sony guys will still buy their consoles and pc sales get a big boost because of pc day and date. everyone winsSeeing people on twitter argue that Sony should do day and date with PC for all of their releases because of something like Helldivers. They should do day and date because there's no point in having multiple platforms anymore. PC just is gaming now. Whether you play PC games on a TV with a controller, handheld, desk with mouse, laptop, VR, or streaming, is up to you. It's the closest thing to a neutral playing field. Valve have proven extremely capable of solving the hassles associated with PC. It's one big library that goes back to the CD-ROM era, and gets better over time. It's available everywhere in the world.Seeing people on twitter argue that Sony should do day and date with PC for all of their releases because of something like Helldivers. Persona really cratered, it's number 22 after 4 days. Relink is still top 10.Steamdb is the same as the global official steam list, they use the API.
If folks are confused, this is how it goes.
There's: https://store.steampowered.com/charts/topselling/global
This is the official which lets see Global and then you can even look at the top 29 markets on Steam
There's:https://store.steampowered.com/search/?os=win&filter=topsellers
This is the one where you see your local store, because it is only "Top Sellers"
You can see this easily because if you add global in front of "topsellers" in your URL

Playstation should make a living room PC for gaming.

How does doing day and date on pc effect Sony gamers? If Xbox is out of the console game. That's an absolutely terrible idea that only benefits pc fanboys at everyone else's expense. lmao
There's no difference between PC and console. It benefits Sony in many ways, as we're about to see with Helldivers 2.That's an absolutely terrible idea that only benefits pc fanboys at everyone else's expense. lmao
Having to support so many different hardware configurations will cause them to deprioritize console hardware and getting the most out of its feature set, leading to a diminished experience for those of us who game on console. Also, we don't yet know if Xbox is doing us all a favor and finally leaving the console market and the PC day date strategy certainly hasn't panned out well for Microsoft's console strategy. How does doing day and date on pc effect Sony gamers? Console generations are a liability. It's worth supporting different PC hardware configurations because there is always a huge addressable audience that never resets to 0. The difficulty of supporting amd+Intel+Nvidia is also overblown. Developers code to standards and it's the hardware vendor's job to implement the standard accurately. This is barely even a question for the majority of developers using a 3rd party engine.Having to support so many different hardware configurations will cause them to deprioritize console hardware and getting the most out of its feature set, leading to a diminished experience for those of us who game on console. I'd respect your takes more if you were honest about just wanting pc to be the only platform available or at the very least prioritized above all others.Console generations are a liability. xbox pc day and date strat is fine. Game pass is not. No the ps5 version will still get the most out of its hardware. Dont worry about that. Expect day and date ps games on pc once xbox bounces. Either by the end of the gen. or start of next gen. They already bring their flagship titles to pc. Time to go day and date.Having to support so many different hardware configurations will cause them to deprioritize console hardware and getting the most out of its feature set, leading to a diminished experience for those of us who game on console. At any rate, not interested in arguing with the last remaining PC and Xbox diehards on this forum, lmao.
