Do you know what FAQ stands for?
Frequently Asked Questions. What are they supposed to do, if the answer to any of those questions changes?
Just changed? what a timing.

>Which they corrected once they noticed.

Lol. Are you saying Sony didn't know they were selling their PSN-required game in non-PSN-supported countries? And now that they have noticed, they removed it from said countries?

PlayStation has reversed course on the Helldivers 2 PSN account requirement, walking back the unpopular policy after a weekend long backlash that included tens of thousands of negative reviews, some of which spread to Sony's other Steam games.

As a result, players have began to mobilize to reverse the negative reviews of the game:

Just changed? what a timing.

They changed it BECAUSE of the (now failed) enforcement, but also because of their announcement regarding GoT. There was no reason to change it before. It's not that hard to understand. Answer to question changes => FAQ is updated.

Do you need an example?

FAQ of random game which does not offer cross-play:

Q: Can I play with gamers on platform XYZ?
A: Game ABC does not support cross-play.

Dev announce update of Game ABC enabling cross-play. FAQ gets updated shortly after/before:

Q: Can I play with gamers on platform XYZ?
A: It is possible to play with players of platform XYZ if cross-play is enabled in the game options.

Nothing shady about it, just common behavior and probably some lessons learned from the past, where they forgot to update FAQs.

Are you saying Sony didn't know they were selling their PSN-required game in non-PSN-supported countries? And now that they have noticed, they removed it from said countries?

Shit happens, willingly or not, we will probably never know. What we DO know is that they did avoid further problems/"fix things" by removing the game in those countries and giving refunds.

Just so you know, they 100% knew beforehand. It's a big company, of course, they knew.

2nd) Steam was refunding not Sony.

3rd) We still don't know if Sony removed it from those countries or it was Steam stepping in.

As far as we know, it might have been the fault of a single employer.

Then we should consider the fuck up might have happened on Steam's side. Maybe Sony gave them the correct list, but Steam made the error. We don't know, we won't know unless someone tells us. The rest is speculation.

Steam did not make any mistakes. Bro, wtf, it's a single game, Steam sells tens of thousands of games, they don't make mistakes like this.

It was on Sony.

You have proof? You want to say Steam has never made a mistake? Also, it's a particular situation, doesn't happen all the time, a mistake on both sides is human.

It's amazing that you still cannot accept that Sony has fucked up.

I'm not saying they didn't, they actually did the moment they released the game on PC.
You can still not exclude the possibility of Steam having made errors in this occasion.

Not much of one. Can't expect anything else for a "me too" crowd who just want to be part of the latest thing. Not that it;'s over, they've moved on to the next thing and won't be looking back.

Give it time, they dropped their retraction at Midnight EST.

Playstation needs to take the Nintendo approach: Exclusives and decent budgets (not everything needs to be a 300 million dolar game) and take legal actions agains pc mods that use their IP.

Or keep on this path to become a publisher on other platforms and wait til Steam decides to sell a console version of a pc for tvs with their huge library on top of the steam deck.

They never should have expanded the servers and PSN players should have always had queue priority. Now I wish for every pc port and gaas game to wholeheartedly flop. Won't be buying concord they can find suckers on steam if they want
