How do you think game development can be sped up?

Linear games are still fun, make more of them

We're at a point where graphics are great, we don't need to keep pushing for photo realism or making sure every strand of hair is visibly seen moving lol.

Reusing assets and building more scalable in-house engines that can be shared across teams under an umbrella

Follow games say hello and agree..

Journey
No Man's Sky
Ori
Bloodstained
Until dawn

And others...

Yeah I’d like more games like ori. Metroid style games are great. I’ve heard about no man sky as well. It’s cool that games still ongoing.

Naughty Dog used to be efficient

From uncharted 2 (2009) to uncharted 3 (2011) to the last of us (2013)

Idk what happened to them now

Those three games are the work of two dev teams and a separate art department, and as you should know by now that games take longer to make now due to requiring much more detailed assets.

Make better decisions with the games released. You don’t need to spend an exorbitant amount of money to make a game lol. You need a fun Idea and a small team to make it.
They know this, the problem is how do you make giant budget games more efficiently I believe...

They are cooking now outside of the unfortunate setback with Factions. They also suffered a lot of turnover in the last couple years.

New IP is coming hopefully we'll see something next year, wishful thinking.
