Hmmm possibly.I think everything but GI.biz and DF gets closed within two years. Tis the IGN way. And thats being really generous to assume that those two survive.

Like clockwork, the paid media is pushing “death of the console exclusive” propaganda again.

Did you read the article? It doesn't say that exclusives will die. It just makes a recap of Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony efforts putting their IPs in other markets and explain the reasons and the logic behind the differences between their strategies.Like clockwork, the paid media is pushing “death of the console exclusive” propaganda again.

One good event won't fully turn around public perception dented by studio closures and ill-considered statements, but it finally feels like Xbox is ready to offer genuine competition to PlayStation

"console market has been heading that way since before ports"
What a liar. PS4/Switch sold much higher than their predecessors and generated more revenue.
People aren't going to turn their back on PS5 because of a Lego re-telling of a 2017 game coming to another platform.
Damn welcome back, I haven't seen you in a long time. And you're 100% right, these disingenuous pricks are trying to act like a Mario Movie and amusement park is the same thing as putting Mario on Xbox/PlayStation. So trashy and the worst part is Sony always falls for it and will put even more games on Switch while Nintendo keeps everything exclusive.Nintendo is never in this conversation. Nobody ever asks why they don’t put their games on other platforms. We know the reason why. Exclusives are important for brand identity and to sell consoles.
They try to act like Nintendo is apart of this “new change” by bringing up theme parks and other ways Nintendo property is available elsewhere other than Switch. Very bad examples. That’s not same thing and they know it.
This whole purposeful, forced, narrative started as soon as MS announced they will putting their games on PS5. It’s all to make look like what MS is doing is right instead of admitting it’s only Xbox that has no choice to go 3rd party because Xbox is not relevant anymore.
Destin from IGN also brought up the Nintendo theme parks and he was widely mocked about it. Chris, now owned by IGN, also talks about theme parks as if it's the same thingThey try to act like Nintendo is apart of this “new change” by bringing up theme parks and other ways Nintendo property is available elsewhere other than Switch. Sony also had the Tallneck Lego from Horizon and nobody said they were multiplat because of it
This IGN-Xbox shit needs to investigated. They get all their talking points from Phil.
The Last of Us had a full circuit at Universal Studios. I don't remember any journalist saying consoles are dead because Sony made a plastic set in a fake haunted house.A waterslide inspired by Nintendo IP sure is the same thing as putting those games on PS and XB.
When you call them out on the stupidity they try and double down and sound even more stupid.
Good point about the Horizon Lego set. Nobody brought up any expanding multiplatform nonsense for a reason.
If publishers keep putting pc as a high priority, they deserve their revenue and profit collapses, which will happen on this path.Seal them all in a vault and throw away the combination. PC is shrinking and AAA revenue is dead on the platform but you still have liars propagate the myth that console gaming isn't growing. It eclipses PC, has always eclipsed PC, and is set to grow even more in the near term.
Spanish software sales were 100:1 consoles : PC. It doesn't get anymore dead than that.
