Did you speak about respect? 😂

It will be shit show when physical is gone. It is bad for people over ownership and prising, and you have to be idiot to be happy with digital only future.
Yep and you just doubled-down with your lack of it.

It's reality, and feelings aren't important when looking at that reality. If you can't see which way the wind is blowing you're simply setting yourself up for disappointment.

Naive mugs said the same about PC gaming, and now look. Console gaming will soon be the same.

It's obvious that things will move to digital but I don't care for arrogance towards those who don't prefer what digital provides. I prefer physical for all the reasons typically given and am not "setting myself up for disappointment" simply because the value propositions essentially remain the same as they always have been to me. I will absolutely buy less games in the all digital future.

And besides, since when is the mass adoption of something a solid argument for it's merits? Surely popular things are often not necessarily ideal things. I have never understood the glee with which people cheer on the demise of physical games media.

Ehh, I'm good. Just giving a fellow forumista a healthy dose of reality ☝️
no one is arguing that Only digital isn't coming to consoles. like wtf are talking even about? the question is just it is not soon as you mongering for years.

yet, we have pandemic time when digital games are pushed mainly and still statistic like this exist : In 2020, 72 percent of games where digital sales. by the way, the same numbers as this year. so physical sales are flat.

so physical is going strong, and we have take into account, that isn't because people doesn't buy physical, but because publishers put less and less physical media to buy. it is almost 10 times less physical games were released compare to digital. physical media is still highly desirable.

but of course, corporation will kill physical media with time, but that time is not here, and as a result, we as customer gonna lose because of that.

Arrogance lol.

There was no glee displayed in my posts, it's all in your head.

And buy less games, I couldn't care less. I'll buy the games I want to play regardless.

It’s going to take longer than one generation for consoles to go digital-only. Infrastructure just isn’t there for it in a lot of places.
As a guy who lives in the middle east with weaker internet connectivity and is 90% digital, I am afraid you are wrong.

You literally said to a guy who laid out why he doesn't like the digital ecosystem "Reality doesn't care about your feelings. This is the way the world is going and you are going to be disappointed" lol

It reads, like all of these types of comments bagging people who have reservations about digital ecosystems, like you are oddly annoyed that someone doesn't want to be a part of something which you yourself enjoy, and thus in flippant tones condescend to them like they're retards.

He threw out some nonsense about having to be an idiot to be happy with a digital future. - when I had suggested no such thing.

And I pointed out that regardless of how he feels about it, it's going to happen every soon. That's how business and technology work lol.

You're reading stuff into this that isn't there.

People always brag about these digital numbers but don’t mention digital exclusives games make up the percentage too.

Physical media isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. And that’s good. I like actually owning things I buy.

Do you not bug things on sale?

If you don’t buy day one, digital can be a lot cheaper than physical.
Even if you wait, second market exist, and it still cheaper physical than digital. even after that, you can resold and get majority of money back. so digital always in automatic disadvantage starting from the beginning because digital games cost more and digital games gets discounted way way later.

in majority of cases, digital never ever cheaper than physical, unless you are pushing hard on specific circumstances, which for majority isn't even applicable.

Distinctly NOT the case here. Physical never goes as cheap as digital, assuming the games you want even get any distribution here on disc.
