As things stand, Xbox Series is somehow tracking behind the Xbox One. The "big games" they have on the way are Hellblade 2 and Avowed.

On top of that now we have them releasing their own games on PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

What could possibly happen now for them to gain any momentum for next gen? Most Sony internal Studios don't have a single game announced and pretty much all MS studios have a game announced or shown and yet nobody cares and it's selling like shit. Starfield, their game of the decade has already release and sales of their hardware only got worse.

There is nowhere for them to go with Xbox consoles.

All these markets were a one generation fluke that they got boosted in because PS3 stumbled and being delayed in which allowed them to get an early foothold in. As the generation went on they pretty much lost all ground as many switched back to PS3.

Xbox 360 sold 57 million alone in North America / UK. Those were their main markets. Xbox One was being given away on discounts constantly across Europe last gen for a reason as early as mid 2014 there were stockpiles everywhere in Germany... It's only gotten worse this gen.

Just imagine whatever Xbox has on the way having to go against Death Stranding 2 a new Naughty Dog game, a new Sony Santa Monica Game, Wolverine, Ghost of Tsushima 2.

Halo, Starfield, Forza, Redfall, all floped, Forza Horizon the only game that seemed to find some success has been milked to death already. There is nothing exciting coming and nowhere where it could come from. Hellblade, Blade, Avowed, Indiana Jones... all those combined aren't going to sell as much as FFVII Rebirth.

Meanwhile Sony is out there flexing that after DS2 they have Kojima working on his most ambitions game ever going back to his MGS origins.
