It would be unfair to expect them to build what other games do for similar money but that still doesn’t mean it feels like you got your money’s worth or not since it’s all like ya know relative anyway. From what I read it seems like most are unhappy with the amount of content for sure.
Which makes you wonder that if Sony does buy Square… a proper sequel might be dead in the water. Seems risky now even after some positive experiences with it.

In many ways, i actually want them to pull the plug on the game now, i don't want them to waste their talent, they have had their chances, to me they have blown it, start something new, a new painkiller prehaps.
People don’t realise how much money MS has. They couldnt care less about Playstation sales.
They can bleed billions for a decade just to make gamepass more important in the future.
Im not saying its a good strategy or it will work, but they are willing to spend whatever so their subscription model will be THEE model in the future.
Its an investment and they have spent 80+ billion in 16months, so losing playstation sales isn’t something they they are worried about

They certainly haven’t cared about putting future Bethesda games Playstation.
Im not saying its definitely their plan or they won’t release on Playstation. Im just saying I wouldn’t be surprised if they do pull it off Playstation in the future.
When you have 80billion to throw around, you don’t care about half a billion profit a year lol. Playstation Call of Duty sales isn’t gonna bring back that 80 billion or even close lol.
MS is not gonna make that money back anytime soon, Its a purchase to keep them in the industry forever, which they are succesfully doing by buying IP’s like Minecraft, Elderscrolls, Diablo and Call of Duty.
They care more about the future they are “trying” to build. Which will make them all the money when they control the industry.
They are looking to take over the living room and subcription models. I think they will be more than happy to take away millions of Cod fans from Playstation then make their money off Playstation.
At the end of the day, they want to Kill Sony lol.
They want to control the industry, dictate the prices, rules and they can’t do that unless they are the best selling subscription model and have all the important IP’s.
Again, this might not be their plan, and they keep everything multiplatform like Minecraft. But playstattion sales aren’t gonna make MS rich lol. They are worth trillion/s. They are on another level.
Don’t be surprised if they buy Take2 or EA and another big publisher. MS isn’t talented enough to make decent IP themselves, so they are buying success and with that they stay in the industry forever.
Well but if ensuring to keep long running franchises multiplatform was one of the conditions to let the deal pass through, I don't think they will be able to buy another big publisher anytime soon, if they break their word.

Exactly. For Microsoft, it's all about Game Pass and the best way to attract new subscribers while retaining those you already have subscribed is by having exclusive games and content. One other factor that I haven't seen anyone mention is that if Microsoft puts COD on PlayStation, it continues the conversation of "will this game be on PlayStation" and Microsoft needs to end this once and for all and outside of GTA, there's no bigger franchise than COD for them to do this with.
