I full agree. Playstation offers yearly GOTY contender exclusives. Xbox offers yearly mediocre semi-exclusives.
Once they accept this and demand better maybe one day about a decade from now Xbox has the potential to be on the same level.
Precisely. You constantly see "PS Fans" shitting on Sony's games or executive decisions, but you never see Xbots do that. If Phil Spencer starts jerking off, they all open their mouths.
Taste is subjective. Best games i played on PS5 this year was Final Fantasy 16, and on my Xbox was Starfield.
Overall i preferred Starfield even though I was way more excited for FF16
How would you score Starfield? Initially, I'd go 8/10, but I can't in good conscience give it that score. Maybe a 7 or a 7.5/10.

Its funny, all these RPGs came out this year and ive probably spent the most time with Diablo 4 and Baldurs Gate 3, but have recently even ditched those for yet another Skyrim playthrough lol

I've yet to see an army of PS influencers all over social media, including youtube, twitter and gaming forums, all with thousands of followers. That includes industry insiders and gaming "journalists".
I've yet to see a PS executive fostering and rewarding radical behavior, like Greenberg does. To the point that things get so hot he has to delete his tweet.
I've yet to see a PS executive spending time in a discord room full of the most toxic fans, waiting for a trial on one of their acquisitions.
The fanbase is so radicalized, that the hardcore ones don't even discuss games. It's so bad that ANY criticism, no matter how small, gets instantly shut down on any media they're present in. Their reddit is a circlejerk shitshow. These people don't care about games, they only venerate executives and talk about budgets.
The main difference between Xbox and any other gaming fanbase is that hardcore Xbox fans do not allow any sort of criticism. You don't see that level of zealotry in Nintendo and PS fanbases. Just this site, a site that's mainly compromised of PS players, is incredibly critical of Sony. Try that on an Xbox site.
Show me a single, decent Xbox youtuber. Someone who is interested in gaming and not spinning shit for Xbox. Mystic for PS and BeatEmUps for Nintendo are pretty critical to both. Find me an Xbox channel that does the same. One that doesn't coat every criticism with "yeah but".
