Lego games scores around 80.
It is on par with the lowest scored Lego games that where not made by the main Lego games team.
This is not what the image I was quoting there says, the score is in the middle of the ranking of the Lego games scores (which go from 82 to 43), around 10 points away from the top game and around 30 points from the bottom game:
sans-titre-png.5903

On top of this, it still only has around 40-50 reviews. So around half of the reviews of more are still to be published and the score can change.

Sony haters from Game Rant, Eurogamer, Dexerto, Game Reactor, Tech Radar, Destructoid or Wccftech already reviewed it. As I remember there's only the Stevivor clown missing from the usual haters who post dumb clickbaity scores.

So going forward I assume most of the reviews should have better scores helping to raise the score even if not much. I think it could go up, maybe up to around 75. Which would be ok (not great) for a Lego game, but not good enough for a Sony game.

This game is perfect for the cockgobblers over at reset era, I blame the devs themselves more for these shitshow games than the management. Guerrilla wanted to make this game lest we forget. If games these DEI devs pitch dont get greenlighted then they will go to their friend jason schrier and kotaku to complain about bigotry

^way too much energy to defend a Lego game. Lego Horizon will be a great game for Christmas gifts this holiday.

As I said to @Gods&Monsters everyone should wait for this to hit PS+ next year, it's gonna be thrown on there rather quickly.

I've been saying this game was gonna be lame because they intentionally made Horizon / Aloy the last PS character level in Astro Bot tl set up for this game...it's a Lego theme level and it was easily the worst PS character level.... That long sealed my impression this game would also be a bust.

The brilliant Uncharted level in Astro Bot is how a PS Character theme Lego game should play like that.

Hope this bombs

I think its time Hermen get’s his marching orders soon… I dont know what his fans are expecting anymore. Why defend him. He’s had his time and doesnt need more.

If he’s not in charge of some of the decisions PS Studios has made, then why defend that position in the first place if its just a puppet job.. And if he is a part of the decisions like Jim Ryan said Hermen was, including his faster push for PC ports (which jim blocked), then he’s not doing a good enough job with how many projects get done and quality.

Someone Ryan Smith or Joel Goodsell who both have made more quality games and handled multiple AAA projects at the same time
Truth of the matter is Connie Booth should have been the one promoted to replace Shu and not Hermen but they sabotaged her & then forced her out for their failed GaaS push.

We have to remember that the GaaS push didn't start with Hermen, did start before him with Shu and Connie.

Most games greenlighted by Hermen aren't GaaS. He cancelled 3 GaaS and did shut down Concord just after release. Pretty likely the reason of why Connie was fired was because of the state of these 4 GaaS. On practice the 3 Bungie projects (one of them moved to PS Studios) and the ex-Deviation devs project are replacing these 4 GaaS.

Sony started to work in 2015 on Rise of the Ronin, in 2016 on Helldivers 2, in 2018 on Concord. The first two released new games that were greenlighted by Hermen (became head of PS Studios late 2019) are Stellar Blade and Astro Bot. He also greenlighted Ghost of Yotei, the next ND (2 or 3) SP games, Wolverine, the next Ratchet, Bend's new IP, Housemarque's next game, the next GoW game set in a new mythology, Media Molecule's next game or Physint (and it's fair to assume that GT8 too).

It was started by Hermen and Jim Ryan. Shu was not about GaaS and Connie had no choice but to oversee the GaaS push since she was in charge of first party content.

And not you pretending we don't know it was Shu that got Stellar Blade for us 🤣

No.

Jim Ryan started in April 2019 and Hermen in November 2019. As I mentioned they started to work in 2016 on Helldivers 2, in 2018 on Concord, in 2018 on Horizon Online (they hired its game director to work on it there), Gran Turismo already was GaaS in GT Sport and GT7 development must have started before 2019 and the TLOU2 MP was announced that was branched out to a standalone game in September 2019 (so before Hermen).

And according to Shawn Layden the PC push, partly related to the GaaS push, was also started at his time (so before Jim and Hermen).

And not you pretending we don't know it was Shu that got Stellar Blade for us 🤣
Shu did stop being the head of PS Studios in 2019 so can't sign first/second party games. He got replaced by Hermen, who signs them since then.

Since 2019 he runs PlayStation Indies, where they scout and support 3rd party indie games. Shu's team found Stellar Blade and Hermen signed it as second party game.

Did you checked who made these lowest scores Lego games?
If you believe it good to be on par with the lowest scored Lego games that where not made by the main Lego games team.... fine.
But that doesn't change the Lego games made by the main team are in the 80s.

That is the minimum Lego Horizons should be compared to.

But maybe I have high standards for PlayStation games.

I didn't say it's on par with the lowest scored Lego games. I said it's on par with (all) the Lego games.

It's also worth mentioning that the list has an error: the best scored one isn't the game adaptation of the Lego movie, that score is from the movie itself. The Lego Movie videogame got these scores:

But yes, the best rated Lego games are the TT Games ones. But TT Games is now owned by Warner Bros, so pretty likely aren't available to work for Sony.

Complete mismanagement of this IP with too many releases like it's Assassins Creed. Going multiplat backfire with no growth at all between each instalment.

HFW flopped on PC, Remastered flop again and this will be the biggest flop yet at number 216 on Steam. Sony killed any prestige their games had left, all because they forgot their roots and tried to go elsewhere on other platforms.

You reap what you sow.

chicken or the egg

You have to start building out a library for kids if you're going to get parents to buy the console for them.

This game will probably end up a 75 on metacritic, but do you know what doesn't really matter for kids games? Metacritic ratings.

Price and visibility is more important, which is why its puzzling that this is a 60 dollar game.

They probably should have made a bundle pack with the discounted PS5 - 380 + Lego Horizon + Astro Bot and marketed like that.

This is just the start of them creating a more family friendly portfolio.
You said Astrobot needs to go multiplat to grow the franchise when Horizon flatlined with no growth at all. The same will happen to Astrobot or any IP they try to expand on PC or Nintendo.

People just don't care anymore once you turn your back on your main customers. Look at Xbox, GOW PC, Until Dawn and now Horizon. Sony is killing their IPs for pennies.

I said this would happen and now we see the damage. Playstation studios = shovelware

People like him are Anti-Playstation wouldn't be surprised he's just a PlayStation fan because he bought a lot of Sony shares and so he wants to see this mythical growth that will never happen. Horizon Zero Dawn is the best selling PlayStation game ever, I think? What more growth did the franchise need other than for them to follow up with a great sequel?

All their IP's are selling less this generation EXCEPT... The one IP that has still remained exclusive for now = GT7... Which so far is selling better than GT: Sport.... But let's keeps putting games elsewhere when the in-order to grow your IP's you need to make people come to your ecosystem.
