Well whether it was intentional or they are still working out behind the scenes agreements. Not announcing platforms has worked in their favor. It has kept the game at the forefront of gaming discourse for better or worse.

Yeah but if they announce that it's not coming out on PlayStation that's the death knell for engagement for this game. Then again, MS never knew how to actually play the long game.
The game is obviously Exclusive for now but the ambiguity is simply a small PR win for them right now when it comes to discourse. When's the last time they announced a game that's been this discussed for days on end... I can't knock the hustle..
Frankly they don't need to announce platforms for the next 3 years lol.
I have my doubts that the engagement will result in very many sales, especially if there is no Playstation version as I doubt very many people would leave Playstation for blade.

It's not 'obviously exclusive'. The only thing that's obvious is they can't or won't reveal the details. Can't would be because it's still under negotiation. Won't would be because it's not exclusive.
Every other game they've revealed, and far bigger ones than Blade, have had the Xbox logo plastered all over it. This one doesn't even have that.
Well I never implied engagements will result in anything. I'm just saying currently because of the lack of platform announcement, it has kept the game in the discourse longer than anything they've announced in ages.
The game is at least 3+ years away so, they really don't even need to announce platforms till they have something to show.
The game is obviously NOT exclusive for now. It hasn’t even a Xbox logo on the trailer, it’s not on the Xbox channel. So, no, not exclusive for now.
“Oh but the FTC” BS, MS doesn’t care about them, also, Blade is not a MS IP, irrelevant to FTC’s case.
“Game is next gen”. BS, Xbox will remain being Xbox regardless of gen, cloud or game pass.
The only logical explanation is that, FOR NOW, the game IS NOT exclusive.
And, lol, there’s absolutely NO PR WIN by not announcing platforms simply because people are NOT compelled to buying an Xbox because they DONT KNOW where the game is releasing.
By pulling this so called “PR Stunt”, they massively miss the opportunity to capture new people to the Xbox ecosystem because the vast majority are buying ps5 regardless and will have NO incentive to buy a Xbox if they already have a ps5.
Blade is an irrelevant character, people aren’t buying Xbox for blade if they already have a ps5.

I still dont think its exclusive, Xbox wont exist in 2027 when this game comes out.

The lack of platform announcement has definitely boosted the profile the game, is it working in their favor? Yes and No!

Anyone who was gonna buy a PS5 was never gonna not buy one because of Blade lol.
Either way the game is so far out, they are probably be cautious as 2027 is apparently the big year when the Xbox brand will know its fate.
