I just hope this remake has an option to streamline the survival elements. I never could fully get into the game thanks to that and the alert meter that took eons to clear once you were spotted.

That's like asking Death Stranding to simplify the delivery elements. It's part of the core experiencing, messing with it messes with the flow of the game.
It will effectively be a PlayStation exclusive, cause loads of PlayStation people will buy it if it's decent.... meanwhile the sales will be pathetic on Xbox and they will all use the excuse that it wasn't on Gamepass and they are waiting.
Then when it eventually does go to gamepass the achievement stats will be really low.

Let's be realistic.
The only actual Remake/Remaster people wants is MGS4.
The others already had several versions in several platforms.
MGS4 is the only that you can only play if you have a PS3.
It is the only game in the franchise that I should call a MEGATON if it is released this generation.

This, PlayStation is where the bulk of the audience for MGS is at.
The biggest advantage of it being exclusive would be the potential Sony involvement and making it easy for devs to optimize for a single platform. At this point most devs that can get a deal from Sony should opt for it.
I don't give a fuck about MGS4. I do want a Remake of 1, 2, and 3, preferably in the same package.
As someone who haven't played MSG before I also want a complete remake of the series

Im more excited about a MGS1 Remake over MGS3. I love them all so the whole series needs a remake.
