I've been saying that this will be the next generational RPG since last year, and it's great. Always has high hopes since it's spearheaded by the guy that made Persona big.
Metaphor broke the CCU record on Steam for Atlus. Square Enix is watching but they will skip PC day and date in the future right? The only cope you have left is: but it's gonna flop on Xbox! I'm sure it will and? What really matters here is that Sony lost all their third party exclusives.Just wait. Only PlayStation is capable in achieving such high numbers with 3rd Party IPs. Square Enix will come to their senses. It's the fanboys from the other camps who will continue to be in denial.
why not?No interest in Metaphor but seeing Sega/Atlus doing great is awesome!!
Broke the CCU is meaningless if FF16 sold triple the amount of copies at release. It must be near 5+ millions by now. Metaphor will never reach that unless they milk it with several versions.Metaphor broke the CCU record on Steam for Atlus. Its very well known that our site has the smartest asses around.Your a$$ is very smart
why not?
Been Atlus MO and don't see them stopping. I expect a Metaphor Royal down the line with new content. Because of that I might hold off on the game and wait for that definitive edition.Broke the CCU is meaningless if FF16 sold triple the amount of copies at release. It must be near 5+ millions by now. Eh, these ccus are probably indicative of about 1/3-1/2 of the player base being on PC. That's pretty significant.I think these comparisons a bit useless.
First all these games listed where late releases on PC while Metaphor is day and date on PC.
Second whatever Metaphor have success or not will be showed by PS5 sales of the game… these low CCU on Steam doesn’t mean that much.
Without PS gamers buying it the game is probably set to die even with these CCUs on Steam.
The good news is that the game seems to be selling like similar games on PS5 that guarantee not Persona 5 level of success (that is not niche anymore) but something like these successful niche JRPGs that sells like 2-3 million.

Not disagreeing with your whole assessment, but wanted to say that Soul Hackers 2 actually released day one on PC as wellall these games listed where late releases on PC while Metaphor is day and date on PC

You will call me eceptical but I doubt it.Eh, these ccus are probably indicative of about 1/3-1/2 of the player base being on PC. That's pretty significant.
Yeah, the anti-aliasing is insane. P3 Reload and P5 look so much cleaner than Metaphor. Don't know what went wrong with some of the graphical hiccups.Almost certainly holding off until they produce a version with anti-aliasing.
