Microsoft anticipates PS5 Slim is coming out this year

Would it be wise to wait for this model? I dragged ass getting a PS5 because I assumed the slim would come out this year, but at $399 it may not include a disc drive which I want.

Makes more sense to buy the current $499 model now right?

It will give you the option to get a disc drive. But yes, best to get one now. Should be easy to find one discounted currently.

I'm guessing the modular disc PS5 isn't so much about Slimness as rationalizing the assembly line and overall cost cutting. It makes way more sense to focus on one main pipeline.
