They could get them running, but they’d be significantly downgraded from the rest of the versions and/or run like total garbage.
Yeah exactly. It will run...like dogshit.

I doubt MS seriously cares, this would be purely about fulfilling an obligation.

Any complaints and they will point people toward cloud streaming on GamePass Ultimate.

Microsoft cant even get their games working on the Series S so we're expected to believe they have the ability to put COD on the current version of switch and give the same experiences without sacrificing quality?

Where it’s at.

They couldn’t even get their flagship game finished on time and complete!

Correct and we're supposed to believe MS can take on and manage a whole another publisher? MS has more confidence on putting out an Activision IP on more systems than they have in their already owned IPs on a smaller ecosystem.

The current fanfic is that MS will put Bobby Kotex in charge of Xbox and he will whip it all into shape!

But But But I thought buying Activision was going to lead to a safer and fair work environment for the currently employees. The only person that can save them now is Bobby Cockdick under Daddy Salty Nutella's watchful eye.

Sounds like some delusional fanfic for real

That's because it isn't.

The Switch is way more powerful than a 9800GT.

We're also comparing completely different architectures, which makes this a mute point.
Hmm, I think I looked at the wrong specs then

*edit*
Switch:
Pixel Rate 12.29 GPixel/s Texture Rate 12.29 GTexel/s FP16 (half) 786.4 GFLOPS (2:1) FP32 (float) 393.2 GFLOPS
9800gtx+:

Pixel Rate 11.81 GPixel/s Texture Rate 47.23 GTexel/s FP32 (float) 470.0 GFLOPS
9800 GT:
Pixel Rate 9.600 GPixel/s Texture Rate 33.60 GTexel/s FP32 (float) 336.0 GFLOPS

Also the switch cuts its operating speed in half when playing handheld and not docked...you can't base its performance on max docked specs bc the game cant stop running if it's in handheld mode...

I think gtx 9800 is being charitable... sure it's different architectures but still

*edit2*

Let's see some benchmarks. 980ti is the top spec of maxwell 2.0, it has 11x the shaders of the switch gpu at 25% higher clocks. 1680x1050 is 23% the pixel count of 2560x1600. Meaning if we were able to run Crysis 2 at 2560x1600, ignoring certain bottlenecks it would run at ~9 fps, or 9.5x slower than the 980ti. So... imo the switch would be slower than a 9800gt.

imgine playing cawadudeh @ 360p 30fps and if there is crossplay with other versions, Switch owners would become literal prey lmao

Well, of course you can technically get it running on the Switch.
You don't need Microsoft for that, though.
And it would run like shit either way.
