I'm worried about that lawsuit against Sony and Valve "monopoly". It would be the biggest win for Microsoft. They would be able to put their garbage store on every platform.

They will lobby, bribe and use the media/politicians like they did with Activision until they get their way. Get ready.

I have no doubt about that. I do have doubts on whether they'll succeed, though. It's pretty clear why they sided with Epic against Apple, for example, but the argument for phones doesn't translate well to consoles due to the functionality of the devices. As well, I don't think Sony or Nintendo would put other store fronts on their platform without a big, years long fight.

You know, it's funny how ABK was supposed to be the big turnaround for XBox. Instead we have the latest slew of damage control articles (Game Pass went up 7% somewhere! Why we don't release console sales numbers, Don't buy a PS5 - game on PC instead, etc.) and the fact that XBox is rapidly losing popularity world-wide. Their attempts to force customers to their platform really aren't working but, given it's MS, it's not surprising they don't get that a quality product (games) is the one advantage they don't have and really need.

We need some kind of phrase for the phenomenon of how formerly prestigious studios go downhill once MS acquires them. I don't think anyone expected a game like Redfall from Arkane Studios, for example. Maybe XBoxEffect or XBoxImpact?

Several things. That's a class action lawsuit. Even if it was to go through, another one would have to be filed to actually allow competitor storefronts.

The lawsuit itself makes no sense, though. What industry mandates that a company has to have its competitors' storefront included? You don't see a competitor section in Wallmart.

And if this goes through, it'll affect EVERY SINGLE storefront, including MS. It's just a silly lawsuit, being pushed by an unprofessional parasite, looking for easy money. I mean, their website is named "sonyyouoweus". It's like an edgy teen created it.

The lawsuit won't go anywhere.

It's been interesting to watch just how much one man can run down a formerly popular brand and still retain his job. #SpencerEffect is the perfect descriptor.
