An ignorant take from an uninformed person who, no doubt, is doing a favour for MS here. This latest angle of attack to divert attention to Sony and away from MS is one of the most blatant ones yet. On top of which the use of nationalism represents a new low even for MS. I sincerely hope this acquisition is blocked. All the lies, the classless PR, manipulation of their loyal fans/the general public, and blaming of everyone but themselves for their difficulties has made me realize just how pathetic MS really is.
I do wonder if the regulators consider these moves to be as suspicious as we do.

I imagine they think of all this as just noise. They have their documents, procedures, and policies and are following the legal process laid out by their respective guidelines and governments. All parties involved seem to have this attitude, except for MS.

So, this lovely woman wrote to regulators about Sony's 'monopoly of 98%' in high end gaming....

Look at her funding.... what a corrupt lovely woman.

You can easily find her boasting about how she wrote to Japanese regulators etc about Sony...on twitter.
They’re that desperate, huh?

Regulation of timed exclusivity might be the most stupid thing I’ve ever read. If this happens then no game can be exclusive at all and it would be a massive backfire. Imagine Nintendo being forced to port Mario to PlayStation? These people are truly deluded.
They basically want the rules to change until MS has the advantage.

Is Microsoft seriously suggesting here japan upend its video game market and use a heavy hand so Microsoft has an advantage over Sony in japan to have good trade relations with the US? Is this a serious thing they’re going to try an acccomplish? My guess is, no, but they wanted the headline out there so they had their senator ask the question for headline purposes. It does seem like there is a coordinated push today that it’s japans governments fault that Xbox is doing bad in japan though, we’ll see how that plays out.

Or are they hoping this bluff makes the Japanese government pressure Sony to accept the deal or whatever?

I wonder if this interference of a Washington senator will have political consequences for Microsoft and USA. I can’t imagine that Japan will be pleased with this scolding.

It’s pure PR garbage.

Man, they really have banned anyone who has a dissenting opinion from the ree thread. It's one big "Microsoft good, Sony bad" circle jerk. Don't think I'll bother checking it out further until the ultimate decision arrives. I can't handle anymore of their terrible takes.
I’m at the point too. I used to check to see what the latest idas post is but he’s just as much a shill and liar as anyone else in that thread. I don’t think any of the mlex reports correctly told us what would happen and that’s mostly what he’s good for in that thread really.
