Everyone here wants Xbox to die so how is me saying that Microsoft should buy Sony any fucking different?

I don't want XBox to die. What I'd like to see is them add great titles to the library of games in the industry. Not focus on acquisitions, not rile up people on Twitter against other companies and now countries, and not play take-away with IPs because they have money from the actual successful part of the company. They have the studios and talent, it's way past time they started putting their focus on that.

Some on ERA high on copium believing the CMA will lose any power because of the block. Xbots bubbles are funny and cringe.
Xbots are coping so hard they have now turned to conspiracy theories where MS will cease to operate in the UK because of Xbox.

I expect the EU as well as some smaller markets to be in favor of the deal in the end and for the CMA and FTC to be standing together against it. China is the wildcard though imo. Rumors had them being OK with the deal, then their decision got delayed, Netease are protesting it and then the US and China have increased tensions. CMA blocking badly screwed MS chances either way though.
China Pooh will block it as revenge for Blizzard and NetEase. Calling it on Monday!

Is China's decision expected on Monday?

I think EU, after seeing CMA and FTC outright blocking this, has to come with remedies at this point if they still plan to pass it. So either way MS will not be getting of scot free with any of those 3 countries.

I remember reading that China's decision was late may or early June.

I have no idea what Xbox owners have been thinking while this whole Activision Blizzard thing has been going on, but I can’t imagine it’s pride in the way their company handles themselves. Microsoft has been acting like something between a schoolyard bully and a petulant toddler that isn’t get their way. I thought GC made a very good point in their article on the situation, when they asked why Microsoft didn’t just use their $69 billion to make their own Call Of Duty rival.
The problem with Microsoft’s plan for buying Activision Blizzard is I don’t think it ever occurred to them that anyone would not let them do it. Not only have they acted surprised this week but the way they’ve reacted has made them seem vindictive and unreasonably angry.

Angry that anyone else should ever interfere with what they want. Not only that but Activision’s odious Bobby Kotick immediately began making up conspiracies about how everyone’s out to get them for… reasons.
The world’s richest company has consistently placed last in every recent generation of console and this one will be no different. It’s underinvested in first party games for years and then goes mad buying up independent developers – who it then manages so poorly that they never actually release anything.
