speaking of is there any way to get rid of the notification at the bottom of every page about the gifted post?

That's a very good question, I have not found a way yet but I will put a single to our superhero mods/admins/sluts

I have removed it from showing on thread pages.
It will only show on the front page at the bottom now.

Lol, lowest common denominator for Xbox games is now essentially a low spec phone….

Desperate antics as usual. Does nothing to alleviate the regulators concerns about cloud conpetitiors. They even said it themselves as documented in the CMA PF they see Nintendo as a lesser competitor. Jimbo will curb stomp them in the EC hearing if they don't have anything else.

But we ll offer it for free on service while covering losses, while others cant do the same. Unless they allow GP on their platforms.
Do they really think people re morons of highest order?

Same quality on ancient hardware?
N s not MS competition, as they say. So what re they achieving exactly?
Why not 20 years. How about that?

It ll still give them monopolistic position talking about cloud. Not only re they buying up industry and planning to starve competition but also taking mobile users from amazon. They were doing jackshit for most of last 20 years in console market, now suddenly they want to buy up industry and "compete".

"We will bring games like call of duty to Nintendo for 10 years, but it will only take us 2 years to tank the franchise and run it into the ground.

Just wait until e3 2026 when we announce 'Duties call', a world premier console exclusive world first for xbox family consoles and PC, day one exclusively on gamepass"

Today's the day the EU hearing is occurring. We can probably draw our conclusions from Microsoft PR sponsored propaganda later in the day. If the news are great, it means it passed. If they start with bullshit attacks on Sony, we'll know they lost.

We shall see what happens.

Surely this will be seen as pure arrogance by the regulators, is this basically stating we are going ahead regardless of your objections?
They don’t know what they’re doing, it’s a desperate move to prove they are making games available beyond where they are today.

I really want to see a “parity complete” COD on a mobile console, even if it’s a switch 2, it’s still a mobile platform eclipsed by fixed consoles. COD (and other games) would be held back to damn under MS and this scenario.

Even more reason to hope for this deal to collapse.

Where it’s at.

This is basically MS throwing in the towel while trying for a Twitter win for all the mongoloids in favour of the deal.

“Well, golly gee, we made a deal to put Callladoody on the Switch for ten whole years once they let us buy poor li’l Activision, but those mean old regulators don’t love you like we do, and now Switch gets nothing!”

I notice the messaging states "10 year contract" but I though there was plans for COD to move to a Biennial franchise moving forward so if true would that mean Nintendo would only get 5 COD games instead of the next 10?

We're supposed to hear about remedy negotiations after the hearing today. If MS continued to tout this same 10 year-deal, they may think that they did well during the hearing and their same old offers will be enough to convince regulators. The tweet today not mentioning a deal with Sony hurts the theory that Sony were meeting with MS for some secret deal as well.

From IDAS at Resetera:

Small update from MLex:

- Ahead of the meeting and talking with the press, Brad Smith said that: "We are more than willing, given our strategy, to address the concerns that others have”. "Whether it is by contracts, like the one we did with Nintendo this morning, or by regulatory undertakings, as we have consistently been open to”.

- MLex understands that although Sony has refuted the idea that licensing deals will ease competition concerns, it is engaged in talks with the Xbox maker on potential remedies.

- The Statement of Objections is still pursuing all three theories of harm against Microsoft that were mentioned in November (OS and subscription services included, then).

Remember when xbox fanboys were claiming the EU would be more lenient that the cma? Turns out they had more concerns than the cma did because theyre also including subscription services, IE gamepass.

Ah, so it seems like Sony and MS were in some kind of talks, though it may not amount to much here.
