It's crazy how the least popular console with the lowest install base seems to have a larger number of extreme and vocal fanboys online than PlayStation and Nintendo put together.

Also, Imo the only thing more annoying than some of these Xbox zealots are the disgruntled former PlayStation fans who use the same talking points as Xbox fanboys. I honestly don't care what anyone calls me for enjoying and being excited for 3rd party exclusives or whether someone thinks they should count in online arguments, I'm still going to enjoy them.
I think it stems from a childish need for instant gratification and from folks who can't comprehend the realities of this business. Honestly though, I think some of the anxiety and insecurity in the community would go away if Sony would just spill the beans on some of their major single-player projects.
The amount of people online, including in this very forum, who haven’t got the slightest clue about how the business world operates is insane.
The most annoying are the ones who whine constantly about licensed games not being in retro consoles and collections, second only to the ones who act like physical games never went out of print after one run in the past whenever a digital title is delisted years after all the physical copies were long gone from stores.
I have a feeling most of the physical zealots are collectors desperate to justify their hoarding by claiming “preservation” or hoping they’ll make bank off their pile one day.

also +1 for 3rd party exclusives not counting.... This narrative started when Xbox became the largest first party, funny enough. FF counts, ROtR counts etc. Otherwise you're just being needlessly picky. Ps2 was 90% 3rd parties carrying. Did those "not count"

Well, I was permabanned because I was calling out the whiny manchildren on crying because TLOU show... they ban people they don't like is my guess.
The wildest thing about this generation that needs to be studied is how so many obvious fanboys in the media managed to convince people that they were completely unbiased.
Honestly I thought they were being overly nonchalant about it. They have to know that such a move would kill Xbox sales going forward and could even put their jobs at risk.

Is even the most ardent Portal fan going to say that things couldnt have been achieved much earlier/better by giving Vita all the buttons and maybe TV output at the time, and the remote play PS console app? Better position'd Sony over the past 10 odd years.
Don't act like just because Sony has profits, that they don't also do stupid things and miss easy lay up opportunities.

There's an incredible lack of self-awareness going around. Some criticise Xbox fanatics because they are delusional and defend everything Xbox does, but then these same people will defend everything Sony does, no matter how stupid.
I think there's also a rush by some to characterize EVERYTHING sony does as stupid. Many people on this forum rushed to call the Portal a disastrous move with no market appeal (including me); it ended up selling out and is in very high demand. People are too emotionally dug in on either liking or disliking the direction of Sony that they end up becoming irrational or engaging in post-hoc reasoning to justify their feelings. There aren't that many people here who defend Sony at all costs, probably just 2 out of dozens of posters. I don't think it's fair to characterize that as a "lack of self-awareness going around".
That's fair enough, sure, but I'm talking about those 2 or 3 that behave exactly like Xbox evangelists. And it's more than 2 or 3.
