I think its xbox fans. I dont understand them being happy with anything post 360 kinnect era. It's always wait until next year. The one feather I want to give XB is their commitment to backwards compatability. Without XB fans kicking up a fuss towards Phil, Sony just gets lazy and short-sighted, resting on their laurels and the labours of the PS4 team. You think people want that for Sony or ourselves?
Tell MS to step their game up, XB fans, unless you're happy playing Peppa Pig on GamePass?

Its been close to 10 years now. They ain't gonna tell shit - those that stayed are neutered and the new comers want the cheap shit.... I mean, close to 3/4 of the Xbox consumer base is still gaming in 720p -1080p in 2022, when a 4K TV is worth a weeks allowance.....between Xbox Legacy, aka Xbox One/S/X and Xbox Series S. Xbox Series X is literally niche for that platform overall until it completely comes to substitute half of the Xbone systems still in the wild - that is years away, and you would still have half stuck in 1080p with the Series S. The economic downturn will make the price conscious gravitate even more towards the cheap knockoff.
Those that made a big fuss about the company's direction and performance year in year out bailed a long time ago to PlayStation or PC when the futility of their efforts was clear. Divide and conquer is easy for these corps, specially when the "media" and "influencers" are in your pocket in some way or fashion.... props to Aaron Greenberg for that hustle.

SEGA need to get their ass in gear and just have an also-run console in the space. People buy Nintendo machines mostly for Nintendo IP. SEGA's got the IPs and some talented studios.
Go get your money back from Magic Randy Pitchford and put that into something different than the same 30 megadrive games recycled for eternity.

I'm constantly surprised by how many Xbox fans didn't even own a 360. It really looks like most of them are just gamepass fans and if that is the case MS is screwed because Sony effortlessly outclassed gamepass in a few months.

They really need to do something to fix the android/ios app gap on Windows 11/12. People won't use it as a consumer device without access to their fave apps/service content libraries. They showed this clearly with various Windows Mobile/WinPhone 7-10.
right now, im hoping someone can eventually hack the Surface Duo phone to have android on one screen, and windows on the other.
GamePass fandom/player numbers are skewed anyway. People can still pull off the 3 years for £1 trick evwn now. If MS ever close that, I want to see how many people pay GP's real monthly price. I know I wont be.
It is what it sold in Q1 FY2022.
They are saying it is the lifetime sales of these games that launched in Q4 FY2021 where most of their sales come.
I counted as one most of these 5 years and I'll never pay more than $1.
Well, maybe I'll pay $2 if it comes to that but that is as far as I'm willing to go.

Bizarre how MS didn’t thought about making a gaming store before Valve.
I actually use the rewards trick to not even pay $1. I don't want to support them but I also don't want to suport devs associated with them by going out of my way to pay for them, so I take a few minutes to make sure they don't see my 1$.

PC warriors are way more tribal and loyal to their god (Gaben) than console consumers are to any of the Big 3. See Epic Store vs. Steam. MS tried and it didn't get anywhere.... multiple times. All the talking points about "open platform" is a big con for the uninitiated and gullible that get taken for a ride by bullshitters. There is Steam and then there is the rest.

Doesn't matter if they doesn't have cash right now. They can sell assets, reduce investments or get a loan to get all the cash they may want, or can do other many other things like to pay with stocks instead of with cash.
As shown there they have $333B of cash and assets. Plus every year the company generates a lot of revenue and profit. They will have all the cash they may need or will be able to pay/acquire whatever they need or want to pay.
