Do you not know how petty Bungie was in that lawsuit? They sued for older abandoned demo footage featured in the background of editing tutorial vids. Basically they got him on a technical. They both won money from each other in court… Marty got his vested money for being a founder.

Seeds was wrong on this. This was specifically for the case in FTC trial when Microsoft sued them forcing them to disclose deals from 2019 to 2023. But it was only for until 2023 aka the trial period. There was no perpetuity legally going forward after the trial where sony had to publicly commit to anything.

But devil's advocate, after the trial Sony now makes it very clear in their marketing when the exclusivity ends. FF7 Rebirth is proof of that, same with Stellar blade.
