There are hardly any games left that can only be played on PS5.
If MS had any sense they would release an update that allows Xbox Series to run Windows and install Steam and exist the traditional console market while taking PlayStation out with them.
Sony main competitive advantage in the past 15 years has been the fact that Phil Spencer worked for MS.

Exclusives being anti consumer is the worst and most commonly accepted lie ever.

Specially when most of them just exist because of that reason. It's not a coincidence that for so many years Nintendo and PlayStation were consistently some of the best publishers in the business, exclusives gave them the incentives to not be like most other publishers (something Xbox never embraced).

Exactly. In fact, they are usually far more consumer friendly than multiplatform releases, as they make better use of the hardware they are running on.
It's no coincidence that the best games are exclusives.

You still believe in 2-3 years windows? 4 years ago Sony had just started porting their games. Helldivers 2 and Until Dawn remake are already day one on PC releases.
I am just saying a feature found in a particular product is why many people buy said product, Asmon has the most mid takes possible that anyone with above room temperature IQ can come up with but his fanbase will larp him up to high heavens
I mean no shit. The only thing these consoles have are permanent exclusive if they don’t have exclusive & there games where on PC people would just migrate to PC where they can get Xbox & PS games & all of the permanent exclusive PC games that don’t go to console + steams own exclusive.
Xbox dropped its wall garden while other competitors ei Steam/PC & Nintendo kept them up so why would anyone buy a Xbox console.
Gaming is also an investment in $ & investment in time. Consumer will always go to the platform w more games, more exclusive games, bigger library of games & features (the reason PC & Mobile are so big there not just gaming devices but multi purpose devices, something PS console should do more of)

Somebody getting a PS5 today doesn't need to wait 2-3 years. The library is the same between platforms besides GOW and that's coming out soon anyway.
Helldivers 2 is GaaS. Sony did say that GaaS titles will be day 1 on PC. Their remasters seem to be a case by case basis. Until Dawn is day 1 on PC while TLOU Part 2 isn't.
AA-AAA titles have 2 year windows. GOW Ragnarok is rumored to be the next PC port. By the time it launches on PC, it'll be 2 years after the console release.
& when MS does makes a open PC like handheld Sony will be force to make players on PC sign in to a PSN account for singleplayer games & the backlash PS would get of that will be disastrous also when they make PC players sign in into a PSN & pull there games off of Steam due to Xbox hardware being able to play PS games it will be another disaster PS will be pulling games off of Steam & forcing those players to play those games on a PS PC launcher & signing in to a PSN that shows you previously own the game on Steam.
It will be a massive disaster for PlayStation & Sony.
