I'm not trying to convince you. Why not Just switch to another platform if you're not satisfied? I'm a core customer too. Would like to see some first party announcements but overall, i'm more than satisfied.

I already play on PC and have done so since the mid 90s. If they want to kill PlayStation then so be it, but I won't cheer it and pretend I don't see what is coming.

I'm not a hypocrite when Xbox was doing these moves I was also criticizing them and saying it would kill their console. I also never liked when PC devs like Blizzard started to focus on console, decreasing the quality of their games and focusing on the lower common denominator. PC games were not about ports of console games in the past and it was far more interesting (to this day the best stuff on PC are usually PC only or PC focused games).

PC + Nintendo seems like the way to go after this gen, best of both worlds, too bad that less and less console type AAA single player games will be made tho, but it's what people are supporting and it at least saves me $500 if not more.

The same people that will tell you that Sony has regressed in development will tell you that the PS4 didn't hit its stride until 2016 and that they ignore that the second half of gaming generations are almost always significantly better than the first. And that the first half of this generation has been significantly better than the first half of the PS4 generation.

Instead, they want to compare the 2nd half of the PS4 to the first half of the PS5.

The same people will ignore that Uncharted 4 came 5 years after Uncharted 3. They'll also ignore that games take longer to develop now.

Again, these people are not serious people. Any rational gamers wouldn't say half the garbage that these people say ad nauseum.

Personally, i think PS5 has better games than PS4 overall.

GT7 better than GT Sport, HFW is better than HZD, GoWR is just a little bit worse than GoW, we got one of the finest games in history - Returnal,
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart better than Ratchet and Clank, we got fan favorite Demon's Souls, Spider Man 2 is better than Spider Man.
2nd and 3rd party exclusives is kinda better too on PS5. Helldivers 2 is kinda hot game, a lot of people loves it.

we don't have Bloodborne of PS5, but the moon is still young. Venom, Wolverine is coming.
we also will get to see how Death Stranding compares to Death Stranding 2. the same with Ghost of Tsushima.

Sony doesn't actually say anything like that in their marketing. Microsoft has been telling you for the last 8 years that you don't need an Xbox.

Run better? Half of their games had shader compilation issues at launch and don't get me started on TLOU Part 1.

And I say hopes of trying, because most of these people were brought in on TLOU2.

We also know that ND was working on at least 3 projects in various stages of development before TLOU Online/factions was cancelled.

Helldivers had severe server issues where you couldn't even start the game (which in turn led to the PSN linking outrage, as they disabled the enforcement because of them), then there were (and are) random crashes, visual bugs and the list of "known bugs which will not be fixed in this patch" keeps increasing. On both platforms.

I play on console because I like to do so. There are more important things to me than raw ability to crank performance. I like that on console, the game just works and doesn’t require me to sacrifice a small child on pcgamingwiki every time I want to play a game.
Everything just works as developer intended , usually 60 or 30fps modes, controller and headset integration , 3d audio, better haptics even than wired on pc, screenshot button on controller which is very important to me.
And games don’t crash. And physical discs.

I am long past pettiness of hardcoring for 7 more fps and ultra shadows for 3000$. In fact now I realise chasing that for years was foolish. Yeah let’s play the same game years later on a 3000$ pc and with bugs. No.
