PlayStation 5 has shipped 46.6 million units worldwide, Sony announced in its financial results for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2023.

• There are 107 million monthly active users on PlayStation Network as of September 30, 2023, which is up five million from the 103 million active users during the same period the previous fiscal year.
• PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 software combined sold 67.6 million units during the three months ended September 30, 2023, which is up 5.1 million from the 62.5 million software sold during the same period the previous fiscal year. 4.7 million units were first-party titles, which is down 1.9 million from the 6.6 million units sold during the same period the previous fiscal year. 67 percent of software sales were full game software digital downloads, which is up four percent from the same period the previous fiscal year.
• Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has sold five million units as of October 30, 2023.

And as I expected about Spiderman 2 initially they definitely saw it wasn't gonna beat the Ragnarok record after the weekend and got out the day one sales.

Either way I hope it will have good legs like the first game.

The legs of Spider-Man 2 will be better than Ragnarok and with the slim bundle it will surpassed it by next year I'm sure.

Spider-man 2 came out in a very busy period. A few people that changed their mind about getting it day 1 made all the difference.

Spiderman series is at 33 million. Last recorded individually was 13.3 million for Spiderman and 6.5 million for Miles Morales

At best Spiderman got to 26 million if Miles never sold another copy, but more likely closer to 23. God of War by itself sold 23 million

They are basically the same ballpark except Ragnarok released on PS4 too

I thought it would outsell Ragnarok only because Spider-Man has more global and casual appeal. Especially coming right after the spiderverse movie.

I'm sure Miles sold 13 million last update we got? And Spiderman was at 20 million.

I expect Spiderman 2018 will probably be close to 23 million by now and will eventually outsell GoW 2018.

I expect Spiderman 2 will become an evergreen too over time.

Problem is they cut down Uncharted right at its peak... This would have never happened under Amy's watch but unfortunately Neil wanted to move on. Even The Lost Legacy sold over 9 million.

Sugarbetik/Nautilus is just coping with his irrelevant numbers. Zelda and Pokemon were on a 100+ millions install base compared with Spider-Man 2 on only 46 millions.

Even GOW had the the full 100+ millions on PS4 to help sale those extra copies. The difference is very small.
