I think if they lowered the basic price for standard editions, it wouldn't hurt too much and the quantity of buyers (especially being digital and having low to no cost associated) would make more sense than the current pricing.
Of course they'd have to crunch the numbers and their data could be off...
They should try it for one or two titles and see how it goes though IMO

Too soon to say plus horizon fw pc is coming early next year. Next earnings report should be interesting, hopefully we get some PSVR2 updates and clear plans for their pc strategy. And maybe updates on their new CEO
So, they have PS5 behind PS4 by 323K units (very specific)
Yet, PS5 is several million ahead of PS4, time aligned in fact.
Between Takashi Michozuki and VGChartz, this day has already been great for exposing so far.
I think PS5, right now should be very close to 50 million. I hope we can get an announcement before Christmas.

Yes, very likely they'll announce the 50M milestone later this month or early December.
You should never believe VGChartz numbers, they are only fan guesses that are always wrong. Their estimates for PS are always less than the real numbers and the estimates for MS and Nintendo always bigger than the real numbers.
Every time we see real numbers from Sony they get exposed.

Spider-man 2 was the first game from Sony with a week early sales… so you had units sales from the bundle that started to sell a week early.
That inflated the day one sales.
So Sony used the day one record PR because they had the 3 days data but it was not a record for PR.
It sold less than TLOU2 and GoW Ragnarok at launch after the first 24 hours.
