Why do you lie? This is what I said:
No! This is what you said which is what I originally replied to. I don't care that you changed your tune after your comment was questioned

I know the played metric is old, but even before Gamepass the game had like 10M sales overall between PS5 and PC. Game is massive.

I didn't call you a hater, so stop misrepresenting what I wrote, jackass.
Only jackass here is you. You insinuated I'm being fictitious and attempting to low ball the figures to make the game look like a flop.

This such a waste of my time 💀.

Enjoy your made up figures

Zelda TOTK made more money in 1.5 month than the best selling PlayStation game in the history. That's a wild stuff 😮😅.
No, Totk didn't sell more than GTAV.

Luigi's Mansion 3 made more money than The Last of US lol.
No, Luigi's Mansion 3 sold 12.82 million copies as of March 2023.

According to the OP supposedly leaked image:
  • TLOU 2 sold 10.3M+ as of Jan 2022
  • "TLOU PS4" (the remaster) sold 18.63M+ as of Jan 2022
So TLOU sold 29M not counting their sales from Jan 2022 until now, TLOU in PS3 and its PS5+PC remake.

Where it’s at.
Can people finally put some respect on Days Gone. New IP sells over 7 and is killed off. Bugs and all at launch still one of the best PS4 games out there
Problem is, most of those 7 million were at a deep discount during various sales on the PlayStation Store or retail clearance.

Selling 7 million at full price is a huge success.

Selling 1 million at MSRP and 6 million at 75% off is not.

Days Gone had the 7th biggest Sony first party game launch on NPD at the time. They also did well in Europe and UK at full price.

This whole notion the game only started selling well thanks to discounts is so weird..

No they were not, you can see the net profit there, it's comparable to the other games that sold that much.

GoW 2018 was always quickly discount and I don't see people bringing it up to downplay it's sales. Plenty of games there mad less money than Days Gone per copy sold.

What is interesting here about Days Gone is how much less money the PC version made:
265m vs 22m

For what it is and how controversial it was when release it sold pretty well.

It's crazy how much trust Sony had in Kojima, to greelight that title.

When Kojima left Konami Sony immediately gave him red carpet treatment, help build his studio, toured him across the world to all their studios, gave him an entire engine, and they got an exclusive game from him. They probably didn’t care what type of game he was making with a person of his pedigree.

The average reviews didn’t stop it from being a good game. Especially from his fanbase. Game still sold well and now we are getting another one.

Someone apparently looked at the numbers again and found that Ratchet and Clank WAS actually profitable.
Yeah it made more then it's budget.

It was hamstringed by lower ps5 installbase also it was one of the front runners in the $70 price push for games which got some negative attention.

If it released now i think it would have done much better.

I really like Death Stranding but it's a hard game to pitch to any publisher, it's impressive Sony went for it even when accounting for Kojima's name.

"A game where you make deliveries in a barren post apocalyptic world, with very little combat, mechanics revolving around balancing your cargo, a bunch of expensive Hollywood actors, full blown AAA production value."

Yes, the game had sold over 8M in January 2022 according to the leaks (counting PC), when he said it. But not 1M+ on PC back then (as estimates said), it was more likely between 600k-700k instead if this leak is accurate.
No.
He said over 8 million on consoles.
He was full of shit.

The Last of Us Remaster sold as much as Uncharted 4 almoust 20m.

Even as a big fan of TLoU Part 2, I have to admit the bold/controversial direction they took the series did cost them a lot of sales given that TLoU Part 2 won't ever sell nearly as much as the original TLoU.

Took that IP only 35 years.

The Last of Us Remastered was bundled for more than 5 years. The sales are very inflated.

@Bryank75 Can you lock this thread.

The data here is easily fake, dead giveaway
is Marvel's Iron Man VR which sold 4000 copies in Jan 19 2020 but the game has not been released up until Jun 2020.
