Cool, thanks. I also assume that with TotK they will be selling a ton of games and consoles for a while, so they won't want to give the spotlight from this game.

I think they may not do a big Nintendo Direct soon, and if they do it one would be fosed on random 3rd parties and indies, in addition to a Pikmin specific one. Other than that, I think they'll save their next big announcements to announce them as crossgen Switch 2 launch titles (I bet a Mario and a Mario Kart plus Metroid Prime 4).

I'm assuming if they were it's not going to be as big as it needs to be, I suspect next year, or maybe fall or winter will be the best bet.

Gave it a 4. The thing is I like the look of a lot of those games, particularly the indies, but why am I seeing trailers for the plucky squire, again, sf6, again, and ffxvi, out next month, if not because Sony doesn't have much else ready?

Of the new announcements, I liked:
Phantom Blade 0 was a highlight
Destiny expansion
Marathon
Ghostrunner 2
MGS delta
Dragons Dogma 2
Sword of the sea
Talos principle 2
Towers of Aghasaba

But how many are PS exclusive? No huge names there except for MGS. I wanted to see more 1st party announcements and more details about Factions and Wolverine tbh

Enough of those shitty game as services. If I wanted free games that look like fortnite with a battle pass I'll stick to xbox or pc. This is Playstation, this is suposed to be the house of big, quality single player games.

I don't get this notion that PlayStation has to solely make single-player games, the same goes with Xbox. This is why Nintendo will be king in making different sort of games and is not afraid to venture out to other genres.

Sony doesn't do Gamescom or TGS anymore, it took them 2 years to come up with this garbage Showcase.

Other than Returnal we didn't get a single new single player IP this gen and the only GaaS I'm interested in they refuse to show (factions). Sorry if I have some standards for what a show like this should be like.

How much credit can Sony get for FFXVI, FFVII Rebirth and requesting a sequel to Kojima?

I would not be mad if this was a 6/10, this was a 0/10 tho.

Never apologize for having standards. Managing expectations and lowering expectations with fanboys in tow kowtowing and falling in line is what partly got the other side to where it's and why millions left the brand. The problem of course is that Sony was the safe heaven. Now there is nowhere to go. That's the problem of oligopolies - when two decide it's a race to the bottom... there is little choice but to watch the trainwreck unfold in all its horror.

This show sucked so much that you are counting possible upcoming State of Plays...

I think Switch 2 will be released November 2024, so I wouldn't expect to see the console and its launch games being announced in 2023.

That's my suspicion as well we haven't seen too many major games other than Pikmin 4 and TOTK, and Metro 4 has been MIA for a couple of years and we haven't seen any new Mario game and you would have expected it for the Mario movie, I suspect early 2024 to mid-2024 to early 2025 and who knows maybe we would get a reveal this year but then again we have not seen any concrete evidence that will happen. It all points to 2024.

I don't get it. Sony said they are working on multiplayer games. So, why Sony shouldn't show it what they are working on?? It is not allowed to show multiplayer games? It is only a Xbox thing?? PlayStation is not about single player ganes only.

The thing is... At face value there were a lot of games. But with this leaking culture we have these days there is no room for surprises. MGS3 remake and collection should have been a megaton.

If I were a PSVR2 owner I would be PISSED!!!!!

They should have shown a Bloodborne PC/ps5 port. Just look how even Konami is porting their back catalog now!!! They were busy with casinos, saunas and gyms not too long ago. Wake the fuck up!!! Take advantage of the elder ring high and release it one or 2 months after the expansion they planned.

And damn man , if Sony believes they can get in the red ocean of PC gaming GAAS with those terrible games and compete they will be in for a rude awakening. Ffs look at the game they used to OPEN their showcase...
