WTF is all I can say.

Well done Jim Ryan.

First time hearing a console price increase a few years into a console release.
Dunno if you'd call the Quest 2 a console, but didn't that increase in price by $100 recently?

I certainly don't approve of this move personally, but inflation a bitch.

I wonder if MS will increase Xbox prices too. It would be interesting to see.

Not a console.

Personally I have never witnessed a console price increasing after launch. Bizarre even with inflation.

They are discounting them currently...

Mind Reaction GIF

Sony is treating EU as their cash cow, that they can milk to subsidize US.
>80€ digital game price

I just can’t say I’m a fan of some of these business decisions this gen. Starting to remind me of arrogant Sony from the PS3 gen.

Supply constraints have already been a problem. I don’t see this helping in places like Japan where they have already been selling less over the years.

It happened in Brasil some times already… with PS5 it dropped twice and increased one.
With previous consoles too.

It just that the dollar price fluctuate too much here… from launch to now there is a variations of 30% in the dollar prices.

BTW the Euro lose 15% of the value related to dollar since start of year… that is the reason of the price increase in Europe.

I doubt it, they actually want to succeed.

Jim Ryan is a disaster... he wants to fill his pockets and fuck the company in the long term, he obviously doesn't care about console gaming.
He talks bullshit about hundreds of millions playing their games and then he does this.... he is pure scum, he needs to be out.

Yep just learnt it has happened elsewhere.

I'm in the UK and never witnessed a price increase on a console.

This will be the first.

Well done Jim. Just as PS5 sales are improving he decides to do this.

Idiot probably doesn't remember what happened with the PS3. Sony are not Apple who can price everything as they please.
