Df is using a trick, they purposefully use the hardware and software wrong.
The 35% is a freebie, for games that currently don't support the ps5 pro.
For games that do fully support it, such as dd2, ff7 rebirth the difference is remastered next gen experience.
DF wouldn't do that for MS machines.
Note: pretty funny they showed hellblade 2, as promotional for xbox series x, when it launched.
Mentioned above that I know that these are Boost Mode games running without PS5 Pro native games.
I have a massive backlog of games that probably won't be patched, so disappointed to see that I'll only get 30-35% boost on these games when I was looking forward to closer to 45%.
Definitely something Sony should have clarified early on. I think they've really been poor about communication for the PS5 Pro.
None of this is the end of the world, but there are a lot of things that I think lose the PS5 Pro points that either impact me directly or don't.
- Lack of integrated PS Link
- Lack of updated controller for 4:4:4
- Boost Mode seems below advertising
- VRR but still no freesync
- Extremely limited roll out of Anniversary Editions
- Slim Plates don't fit (I don't know a slim)
Given the price of the console, I do think they could have delivered better here. I'll give them somewhat of a pass for the plates. Slim owners already have an advantage over 3/4s of PS owners who have the OG PS5 since their disc drive and stand can work.
Reminds me how disappointed I was when the PS4 Pro didn't launch with a 4K bluray drive, but the boost mode tops the list for me.
Edit: Let me also add that it doesn't appear that you can browse/filter PS5 Pro games on their website which is so poor.
Some of those points are valid, others can be patched later on. I just think that ps4 store was miles ahead ps5 store, which has a horrible search. Even exact matches fail sometimes.
Back on topic, because you purchased the ps4 pro correct also the Xbox one x?
Ps4 pro had really minor upgrade, Ghost of tsushima was still not stable 30 fps, no vrr.
But look at the difference with this game, its insane. From 30 fps to 58 fps now in the vrr range(DF even called a worse performing version of elden ring better on Xbox series x because of vrr).
Not only that but those graphics look next gen.
Is this Dragon's Dogma 2? Didn't they say it had bad PSSR implementation?
how is he lazy? he is 1 guy. DF is what? 3? 4?DF? Oliver is biggest xbox fan, keeps going on ff16 and ff7 remake coming to Xbox. Nxgamer is lazy, still no content. So I guess we can experience it for ourselves tomorrow.
Get outta here with your reasonable take.how is he lazy? he is 1 guy. DF is what? 3? 4?
and what, you want quality without bullshit or just fast food of PS5 PRO reviews?
i am sure, can wait.
Tbf these games like elden ring are horrible optimised. Majority of games will be locked 60. I myself had to play the ps4 version of elden ring cause the ps5 version run horribly even tho looked exactly the same. Some shit makes no senseLike I said, I'm still going to buy it. Just disappointed.
As time goes on Boost Mode will be less and less important and it's more about back catalog items that don't get patches, but it would have been nice to see a lot of these games hit a locked 60 where possible rather than being sub 60 and need VRR.
PS4 code on ps5 is flawlessElden Ring on PC today still has micro stuttering even with top end CPU and GPU
Why? You can analyse console at the beginning too, not just the end.Console reviews always felt odd for me. I guess it's because the reviews are premature since they are done at the launch of the console. Console reviews feel more logical when done at the end of that generation.

Maybe I’m new but I didn’t know it was necessary to rate consoles.
7/10 is so lukewarm…do you like it or not?
