Word is the new SoC is made on N6 which is cheaper than N7 was back in 2020.
Sure, it's probably a bigger chip maybe ~350mm^2 large, but odds are this new "Trinity" SoC on N6 is cheaper to produce in 2024 than the original Ariel/Oberon chip on N7 was back in 2020.
Price-per-GB on GDDR6 is also lower despite the faster clock speeds.
In the end, I doubt the PS5 Pro is going to cost more than $600 / 600€, and I think we might even get a surprise from Sony and get it for 550€ (same price, higher performance).
Don't look at PC GPU prices for this. They don't have the luxury of Sony's economy of scale, and Nvidia/AMD are still riding the massive GPU price hikes of the last crypto craze.
