guy is just a click bait scammer. he knows nothing.
Sheesh really? All 3 of you guys here did say the same thing now... Hmm well anyway so do I expect this generation to last until 2027 or 2028... The rest that isn't confirmed will hopefully be revealed during 2024 or 2025.

Well this is very interesting if true... If the PS5 Pro is really that good and it'll make sense for the PS6 not to get released before 2028 or even some time between 2029-2030 so can I wait as long as it doesn't feel like a PS6 is needed ASAP. But I think it's 2027-2028 so far though... But I won't be surprised if it's not coming in 2028.

I believe the PS5 Pro GPU is based on the 7700xt which has the same speed of ram as the PS5 Pro 18, Gpbs speed ram. The 7700xt only has 12gb of ram, 54cu's and is 35 teraflops. The PS5 Pro will be clocked higher and have 16gb of ram and possibly 60cu's. The PS5 Pro will be closer to 40tf.

It'll be less, 7700xt boosts over 2500mhz. I believe Sony will keep the boost to 2300mhz or below to save on power budget, the 7700xt has a tdp of 245w. I doubt they're looking to spend more than 150-170w on the gpu

I see it's priced at 350-450€. Maybe a bit too expensive for a console price range, but I assume Sony should get a better price for buying millions, and that also may further reduce the price by removing or toning don elements don't need.

So could be something like that. But it would highly surprise me to see a jump from 10 to 40tf just for a mid gen refresh that only a small portion of their users will buy.

Yeah something close to that I think as the latest rumor says it's 36 TF's so far... But man this is a huge jump if true. Anyway... Hopefully so will we know the real numbers and other stuff in the next 2-4 months! (y)

Only a small amount of the current base will upgrade but most sales will come from folks new to PS5, it was the same with PS4 Pro.

Wasn't it mentioned that the minimum guaranteed jump in raster performance is only 40%? I'm definitely getting the PRO, but I'm thinking most of the improvement will come from devs implementing PSSR and the nicer ray tracing. I don't know if RT performance will improve in already released titles.

No percentage wasn't giving in regards to Ray-Tracing... The only rumor so far is the overall jump in performance been 45 %. But also better Ray-Tracing and FPS (The CPU going from 3.5 Ghz to 3.85 Ghz) and yes the PSSR/AI thing making stuff overall better without the input lag been too high hopefully. And about the RT Performance and the other modes been improved... Well that's up to the developers as the only thing that might be higher is the FPS and that's if the framerate isn't locked to 30 FPS or 60 FPS for example.

I’m guessing August is prime time to sell my ps5. It’s almost 4 years old… I’m thinking $250?

I would say wait until it's 100 % confirmed that it's coming in 4 months... But yeah somewhere between July-September 2024 would be the right time to sell your PS5 if you want to.

And yes somewhere between $250 - $300 sounds like a decent price to me (y)

I would wait until you get the Pro in your hands. It's probably way easier to transfer your info from console to console, the Pro might be sold out at launch and you won't be able to play games for a few weeks, and you'll get maybe 50 extra bucks for your troubles. It's probably not worth it.

Agreed... This is another reason to keep it tbh.

When I hopefully get a PS5 Pro soon after its launch, I look forward to playing Silent Hill 2 Remake on it. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yeah this is one of the many games I can't wait to see how it'll look on the PS5 Pro... Besides the current and upcoming games like GTA VI for example or a new GOW game... Or SM 3... Man there's too many games that will benefit from the PS5 Pro for sure! (y)

AMD RDNA4 Radeon RX 8000 rumors: Navi 48 (top SKU) to be announced at CES in January, launching Q1, around 7900XT performance but lower power consumption for $500 or less.

Navi 44 (low tier SKU) to be launched in Q2, 8GB VRAM, around Navi 32-33 performance.

https://wccftech.com/amd-rdna-4-radeon-rx-8000-gpus-debut-2025-navi-48-at-ces-navi-44-q2/amp/

Assuming PS5 Pro would launch in November, I think its likely that it would belongs to that family or at least would include features of that family (or the opposite, maybe AMD took some ideas Sony added for PS5 Pro to the PC market).
