I was not a fan of Returnal 1080p either... it was blury in 4k screens but it looked great in my old 1080p PLASMA (sadly it died and I had to buy a CX and realized Retirnal resolution was bad).720P lol
Low resolution is the seal of quality for Unreal EngineI gave up on it since Returnal ran at 1080P.

They should go Decima for their next game. I never even played the game on a 1080. Its not blurry. Is it the sharpest game ever? No. Is it blurry? Also no.

What I'm saying is that the Returnal low resolution was evident in a 4k TV.
It was very notiticiable because the image was soft/blurried.
But maybe you guys like blurried image... it is the first offender to me in any game... thanks god I don't play a lot of games that uses TAA for the exactly same reason.

If you can't see how blury it is look at her hands, weapon, suit, etc... the ground, stones, plants, objetcs are bluried too.
BTW the picture is not zooned it is the original size just cut around the character.
This is PC (to be fair it is the first time looking at PC pictures).
I have no ideia what the setthing it is but see how most of the blur is gone (not all of course that tells me it is not native either but using a better upscaling tech at higher resoltuion than what was used in PS5).
The game on PS5 have blur in 4k TVs.
That was the first thing I noticied when I have to shift from a 1080p TV to 4k TV playing this game.

Yea, I noticed this too over a friends house. The low resolution rendering 1080p scaled up to a 4k tv doesnt' look the same as a 4k rendering resolution scaled up to a 4k tv. I guess it's because there isn't any other data they can use to make the pixel colors 1:1? You got 1 pixel that needs to stretch up to 4 pixels, right? Whereas in the 4k to 4k scenario, you got 1 pixel scaling exactly to the 4k image tv producing a 1 to 1 transition.This is PS5.
