2020, I guess, when Bethesda buyout was announced, there were a lot of concerns regarding monopoly, I presented receipts about their 90s controversy and got banned.
Xbox most likely put people ..like xbox ambasador on several gaming websites like ign, gamespot, resetera, neogaf...
I was banned for an OT post which at least one mod responded "Great Post". That ban was referenced in every subsequent ban until I was permed years later.

If they are able to hang out in Resetera they can't be that good. I was never a member there but I know I wouldn't last a single day without getting banned because I'm generally just honest and speak my mind when it comes to games and game corporations.Believe it or not there are some good posters on ResetERA (although others got banned a long time ago). However they do not usually proliferate in the most toxic threads, usually because the most toxic, disingenuous pro-MS cheerleaders (Sullivan, Shoot, Vigilante Joker, Yoga Flame, writhingcorpse, fiendcode (Nintendo fanboy/fangirl being pro-MS/pro-acquisition by proxy), Uramallas, gremlinz1982 etc.) say the dumbest of crap. They are enabled & protected by moderators & admin who feel the same way, such as Jawmuncher & Judge, and challenging even a little bit of the BS the aforementioned pro-MS cheerleaders put out there risks you copping a threadban or outright ban. Apparently being too truthful with them is akin to harassment
What we're seeing tho, which is great, is the downfall of whatever relevancy ResetERA has left, and that's 100% on the mods and admin for letting MS corporate cheerleaders fester on the forum and protecting them at all costs. The bias has been fully exposed and the forum's become a laughingstock. Exposed for, on multiple occasions, fearmongering an "Evil Sony" narrative, protecting MS by minimalizing bad news and suppressing dissent towards many things they do, targeting boycotts at big games PS either has exclusive or marketing deals with (Hogwarts Legacy, Final Fantasy XVI), being fake progressives (moderators exposed having purchased & played Hogwarts Legacy, for example), and more.
Hell, the forum itself was founded built off a lie; I know some here don't care a lot for GAF, but the whole driven behind ResetERA ever being founded was part over neoliberal-disguised-as-ultra-progressive GAF moderators mad at Clinton losing the 2016 election, and part over allegations against GAF's owner that turned out to be lies. ResetERA was never founded on principals of genuinely caring about gaming or actual progressivism in politics. It's all fake.
But, there are some users there, even now, who are legit. It's a bit like finding a needle in a haystack though, at this point. You have to wad through a lot of garbage to get to anything good.
