Question to SH experts. I've seen the movie(kinda loved it at the time) and I know these games (although never completed any, I played a tiny bit of all of them).
Is Silent hill as seen in the sequel, another dimmension or city as is?
You can see items left in their places or a note "I went to town to replace the window" and we see the windows is still not replaced.
Everything seems to be left as is maybe for a year or three. not it too bad shape yet but clearly it has been some time.

Or is the city going on and all of this is another dimmension when James enters it?
if so, then why James sees everything as abandoned and decapitated ?

btw - I've watched some early gameplay and it looks incredible. Real ghost town feel. Might be best ghost town ever in gaming? And the fog looks insane. volumetric, thick and not just flat panes
