Square Enix "committed to working with Xbox going forward."

Square Enix CEO Takashi Kiryu promised better support for Xbox platforms going forward during Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest 2023 Las Vegas.

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer appeared on stage to announce the Xbox Series version of Final Fantasy XIV alongside the game’s producer and director Naoki Yoshida, before Kiryu joined them.

That's how it started with Sega. Now Xbox is the one getting day one gamepass deals and either timed or full exclusive native current gen versions of Yakuza and Persona.

Sony's complacent.
Do you think going to compete with xbox for games? Didn't octopath skip ps just for the sequel skip xbox. Let Microsoft blow money. At some point the river will dry if there isn't return

They don’t have any timed exclusivity for any sega game, they don’t even get physical copies

Sega, Capcom and Square now working closely with MS. Who is left? Konami? :ROFLMAO:

It's all cool tho, Sony still has two Japanese studios to make up for that, Team Asobi and Polyphony Digital

These people here think that things like gaming releasing just on PlayStation an not on Xbox in the past had no value for Sony. We'll see, Xbox continue to gain ground despite how awful their product is, what happens when things are a little more even?

They do for Persona remasters current gen versions. They got a timed exclusivity of Yakuza 7's current gen version as well.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is pretty much the next Persona game and release day one on Gamepass, but hey, now Persona doesn't matter anymore for Sony zealots. It's all about the PlayStation brand in the end not the games.

"Playstation Brand" is the new "Gamepass." Its the arbitary, ever changing, non descript reason to own the platform.
