These people here think that things like gaming releasing just on PlayStation an not on Xbox in the past had no value for Sony. We'll see, Xbox continue to gain ground despite how awful their product is, what happens when things are a little more even?

Sony is the one not making any sense, they just had a console that sold 120m+ units and now have one that we'll sell even more and yet they let a company that can't even sell 50m+ dictate the direction of the market and are ok with being set up to be completely vulnerable a few years from now. Microsoft needs to pay and beg to get JRPGs on their platform simply because they don’t sell.

I feel like Xbox's partnership with Sega is the reason why Yakuza was rebranded to "Like A Dragon", and the reason why we won't be getting a Yakuza Gaiden physical release in the West, not to mention the garbage YouTuber YongYea (terribly) voice acting Kiryu
It's all about the message, Sony should be zeroed in on killing Xbox now before it grows like the cancer that it is but they are too concerned with PC Ports and GaaS to care about where this is all leading up to.

The message is PlayStation is on it's way out. Sony does not believe in PlayStation and they only care to pivot to GaaS/PC before their console business is not viable anymore.
MS is in this to outspend and outlast Sony in the console business, if you don't see it you are blind. Either Xbox dies now/soon or PlayStation dies next gen and becomes another Sega/Atari.

How does it not damage PS when you have the competition offering these games for, what, 15 dollars on release as opposed to a full $70? Yes, it's a rental but a month is more than enough to play through one.
GamePass has been lacking because it has no games. If it starts getting major 3rd party AAA games, it's a whole different thing.
What partnership has detoriatied? They are getting that shit regardless from sega and other japanese devs.
While i don't care much about GAAS, it's insane how some of you think that sony will sit there and let other companies make billions from a single gaas game and they do nothing.
