Starfield Day 3 (2?)

The CCU peak on Steam is 258k vs 269k yesterday. It's tumbling down.

For comparison, the peak for BG3 today was 363k and it came out over a month ago 😬

braindead shill Tom Warren now insinuating that Starfield would be rated higher if it was a PS exclusive.....

Halo Infinite being a higher score than Ghost of Tsushima and Spider-Man 2018 is all you need to know about who actually has a media bias

The fact that he cannot comprehend PS averaging higher MC scores than Xbox because it has been constantly delivering far better products for more than a decade, while Xbox picks and chooses who reviews their games, and hires PR firms to inflate MC scores via paid shills and phony sites.

6 million players , some idiots truly believed that fake estimate that said 20m 😂😂 6M seems fine until you realize >80% of them played it on a cheap subscription service. FF16 generated more revenue with half the "players"

I'm talking about Steam CCU, Steam Councurrent Users. Almost every day it had a new CCU record, or almost:

As far as I know there's no game whose CCUs scaled exponentially.

It sold almost 1M copies on Steam in a few days and it's #1 in top seller and in the top 10 most played games. That's great for a game, specially when it's given away in GamePass at launch.
No peak today, uh oh! 1m copies is laughably bad, there is no way to spin it. FO4 = 12m day 1. 75% of the usershare is outside of Steam per Phil's numbers, so what, 4m sales? 1/3 of FO4? That's a success to you? 8 years later and your game sells 1/3 of the last one?

They said Starfield is their biggest launch, so all that stuff about Fallout 4's success was always a lie. They exposed themselves

Around 1M on Steam. You should add there on top Xbox copies and the MS PC store. It could be maybe a total of 3-4M, yes. I'd say closer to 3M. 6M-7M players, being the majority of them from GP. In the long run after many years it could sell around 10M ish copies plus support GP and whatever DLC they release for it.

The game is not being sold on PlayStation and is available day one on GP, so obviously the sales will be much lower than in games like FO4. It's also a new IP, so there's a smaller fanbase behind compared to established IPs like FO.

Successful for an average AAA new IP? Yes.
Successful for giving MS a fresh, good console exclusive AAA new IP with potential for the future? Yes.
Successful as the savior of Xbox/MS first party/Bethesda? No.
Successful to put them at the Sony level in terms of GOTY winner/candidate exclusives? No.
Successful to grow GP and help it compete against PS+? No.
Successful to at least turn GP into a profitable business? No.

That’s what happens when you cancel the version for 75% of console players!
