This is obviously a much different situation than Helldivers 2. They can demand what they want for their IP, as long as they do it from the start. Dont like it, play SP only. Don't like that? Don't buy. It's not like the 200.000 sales in the next 3 years will contribute anything significant to Sony.

Knew it that would happen. It was never about TOS, it was never about unsupported countries. They just don't want to link to PSN because "reasons".
I’m f it wasn’t for the regions being a problem Sony needs to make sure they never ever bend no knee in the PC market. You give pc a inch & they’ll take a mile & spit on your face.

When Sony fix the regions issue & makes PSN a requirement in Helldivers 2 they will get backlash but they need never bend & keep arrowhead away from replying on discord or twitter before they say some dumb shit.

You already seeing the narrative by PC players that because of this fiasco Sony won’t try putting PSN requirements for future game or that they will bitch about it in the future thinking Sony pull back again because of there bitching when in reality it was due to the regions issue

Boycott or no boycott, this game was going to flop either way. Like every other single player game they've ported. Nixxes was an absolute joke of an acquisition.

10 ports over the course of 4 years combined cannot outsell what GoW Ragnarok did in 3 months.

Irreparable damage, countless time and money wasted just to make 1 weeks worth of PSN revenue.
Not only that but one of PS biggest fiasco in the last 10 years you can say pushing 15 years really since the reveal of the PS3 was cause of PC & guess what it was due to PC players not wanting to sign in creating a PSN account that was free. Sony is damaging its own platform & storefront loosing its focus & loosing its core user base to cater to a platform & user base those being Steam & PC players that don’t give a fuck about anything Sony or PS related.

Like someone stated keep singleplayer permanent exclusive like Nintendo & explore live service across PS, PS & Mobile. In some case like HD2 they release on PS & PC in another like Neon Koi mobile game it will likely launch on PS & Mobile (& if they do PC it should be exclusive to Mobile since it doesn’t rely/meant for that platform) & it’s cases like Gran Turismo keep mainline GT games permanent exclusive & explore a mobile game or a spin off like Forza Horizon but Gran Turismo that’s more arcade more customization street racing focus then mainline GT sim games.

imagine those PS3, PS4 ports and remasters they could have done.. i bet , they would have been making more money...
Oh man a inFAMOUS remake would make more money then all of the PC ports has made all together. Not only that but Nixxes could be use to bring back some of PS old ip & test them to see if they do good imagine inFAMOUS remake sells 7-10 million gets great feedback you can do a inFAMOUS 2 remake & have Sucker Punch create a second team reboot the franchise or make inFAMOUS 3 as Colt & tie the 3 game & bundling both remake for 70$ with a live action tv show. Better strategy more money better output for your own platform more games true exclusive games on your platform = more PS console sold

Sony can do this with Killzone, SOCOM, Resistance, Rogue Galaxy, Ape Escape, Wild Arms etc either full on big budget remakes or low budget remasters

GOT is coming put soon and Legends will require PSN. So, number of supported regions by PSN will stay as it is now. Sony doesn't require VPN or something. They won't ban you because of that. You buy game on Steam whichever region you are and link to a region where you are registered with PSN ( even if PSN isn't official supported in your country ). That's how Tsushima Legends will work. I really don't see other way now.

PS needs to just stop releasing games for PC.

The fans are too much, its not worth lesseing your brand for all this
