Sony's returned the favor before in the past with regards to financial stuff. Square may be the closest thing Playstation has to an ally in this industry.

They showed CG for their live action games and probably pulled the Spiderman 2 trailer out of SGF so they could use it in the showcase

You need to be organising these events a year in advance. To me it's clear they threw it together very quickly

How’s the game?

I'm super early, but it feels like Dark Souls set in a Dishonored-inspired world. The graphics are noticeably better than any From game, but the animation might be a little worse. It's deranged in an original way that sets it apart.

One thing is clear from this show. Geoff knows gamers. All gameplay trailers, very little CGI. Overall high quality of games. Nicolas Cage was a little iffy but I'm also impressed that he keeps getting big names to show up to his events.

At this point I think if Sony is just going to half-ass it they should just stick to Steat of Plays, Summer Game Fest and TGA.
