I don't need to dream, thankfully my brain works so it isn't fueled by delusions and lies like yours. Sony moved their HQ to USA in 2016, 3 years before Jim Ryan was appointed President. Who was President / CEO then? Andrew House who later resigned in 2017. John Kodera was deputy President at the time
The only delusional dude are you here buddy. It doesn't matter when Jim Ryan become CEO, he was even before appointment a person with much power & influence inside the company. Of course it was him who pulled the strings for moving PlayStation to the West. He was the whole reason why PlayStation was westernised. But of course, right after he retired, Sony made a 180° step and returned to old traditions like physical events. It's not a coincidence this happens all right after Jim Ryan left the company. Keep worshipping that old bozo dum-dum.

Ah the all powerful Jim Ryan who moved the PlayStation HQ to the US tho he lived in the UK at the time and he managed to forced Andrew House & John Kodera 's hand. Next you'll say he's the reason Andrew House also resigned 🤣

Thanks for the laugh claiming I worship Jim Ryan 🤣. If by calling out your idiocy means I'm worshipping Jim Ryan, then heck yeah!

You're humiliating yourself with the lack of humility.
Instead of arguing against evidence of moves to the US, how about discussing how Ryan had a plan for a lot of games, all of which - barring the biggest disaster in gaming history, were cancelled. Factions was almost complete when it was canned.

Hulst is a fucking moron. He's rode the coat tails of GG with Horizon and Killzone. He's the Todd Howard of Sony.

Hulst literally turned Guerilla Games from a gameless studio to one of PlayStations biggest studios in less than 20 years. He knows gaming better than just about everyone on planet earth. Guy is clearly a savant.

20 years? Oh wow, he works fast.
Are you serious? 😂 It took this clown three generations to git gud?
He doesn't know gaming, he's an easter-island headed, German scat-porn actor-looking numbnut.

To compare him to Cerny, carmack, Newell, Moore, molyneaux, sweeney etc is an insult.

Yeah because Killzone didn't spawn 4 games in a hugely successful franchise....Casual.

Hulst out performed every single name you listed during his rise to prominence. That list is just a bunch of old guys who did very little during Geurillas rise to prominence. Knack? lol. Knack 2? lol

Lionhead got shut down due to Molyneaux pitiful performance.
Cerny made Knack and Knack 2, lol.
Sweeney has focused mostly on Unreal Engine for the past few decades.

So yeah, Hulst is the man.

You call me a casual but obviously know fuck all about the industry.

Molyneaux was responsible for genre and industry defining games and series all across the 90s. He wasn't just fable man.

Sweeney created a game, and engine and built a studio almost single handedly. Unreal was created by him. Back before you were swimming around your daddy's nutsack, Unreal was the most popular shooter in the industry, only squaring up against Quake in a classic fanboy war of twitch Vs strategy.

As for Cerny, aside from being the master architect of the PS4, PS4pro, PS5 and PS5pro, aside from designing and inventing industry standards he started life out creating the most advanced physics engine there was, single-handedly, in his bedroom at 16 years old. The game was Marble Madness for the megadrive and featured never-seen-before physics that set the industry in a new direction.

Newell, he created a handful of the most influential and popular series of all time, while single-handedly saving PC gaming and creating the biggest digital platform on PC. His franchises and the mods they spawned brought a community together.

Carmack invented doom, the engine and founded id software. Later in life he worked with Palmer Lucky to kick off the second wave and reimagining of VR.

Educate yourself in what these "old guys who did nothing" actually did. Because what they actually did, was make the industry that allows you to play the games you're championing for.

Compared to these greats, Hulst is nothing.

They didn't do jack sh** when Hulst was raising Guerilla Games from nothing. Casual indeed.

I waited until the beginning of 2016, so a little over two years, before getting a PS4. Not because I didn't think it was worth it, but because I was a senior in high school when PS4 came out and didn't have enough money to get one at launch. When I got that PS4, I felt like I made a sound investment into an ecosystem that I'd been with since 1999-2000. Throughout the 4ish years that I played on PS4, I was always satisfied with the gaming experiences that 1st and 3rd party exclusives brought to the table.

On the inverse of that experience, we have the PS5. Ever since the launch of the PS5, it feels like Sony is hell-bent on making me regret buying this console from them. Their 1st party output has slowed to a crawl and the bulk of what they do release is nothing but remasters and remakes of games that don't need them, 3rd party exclusives are few and far between as well, they're continually releasing games on PC and charging less than they do on their own console and those games don't have the requirement to pay for online, their communication with their fans is non-existent, and they've been increasing prices of pretty much everything in their ecosystem since the gen began but they haven't given any justification of these increases other than "because we can." I recently fell into the nostalgia bait that is the 30th anniversary PS5 slim, but I have a feeling it'll be the last PlayStation console I buy unless they drastically change course in the next few years. It's a shame, but at least I still have dozens of games in my backlog to keep me busy.

In a way, you're lucky that you weren't alive for the PS1 and PS2 gens. If the transition from PS4 to PS5 has pissed you off, you would have gone postal at the change from PS2>PS5

BUT DON'T LISTEN TO ME OR OTHER OLD SCHOOL SONY FANS. SONY IS DOING THE BESTEREST EVEREST!!!
